ANOTHER thread moved to the Debate Board.....sad

I just love it when threads from the CB are yanked.........and sent to the Debate Board. Not for impropriety...........not for foul language............not for personal attacks........., but just because some moderator/Webmaster feels that differences of opinion are UNSEEMLY on the CB.

Actually, in REAL communities, people have differences all of the time. They're voiced at Town Meetings, neighborhood gatherings, school committee hearings, etc........ HOWEVER, on the DIS CB, we're all SUPPOSED TO AGREE TO AGREE........ how pathetic .........

EROS, I would hardly call a thread posted days ago and only moved today, YANKED! Sometimes, discussions turn into debates and they do have to be moved to the appropriate topic board. When was the last time this happened to you? I don't recall it happening in the past 4-6 months? It's not like it is a regular occurrence. Sometimes it is just necessary.

And please feel free to disagree, but let's be civil and act like adults. Please?

aahmom, my experience on the Debate Board is that the "debaters" are stuffed shirts who do a good job of elucidating their positions without ever changing them . The same right-wing reactionaries that we see here are over there . I guess that opinions on the CB just have to be UNIVERSALLY HELD .

Well, then.....you should feel at home there also.....after all....if we migrate from board to board you should be able to do so also....

BTW, I'd hardly term myself a right wing reactionary. And my DH is falling off his seat dying with laughter right about now at the thought of it.....

That may be, just like my 'identity' is mostly on the DB, but we can't post general non-debate topics there so it stands to reason that one probably shouldn't post debate topics here.
