We went through to the cattery last Saturday and it's set on a very pretty hill between two villages and it's surrounded by miles of fields full of cows, sheep ponies you name it it's out there
The cattery itself was really lovely the young lady who showed us around and answered all our questions was a real gem she has cats herself so I could relate to her and she to me
Their facilities were spotless and all of the guests have a daily record of what they have been fed etc and how long they have been groomed and played with each day along with health details and food "input to output". They all get checked on regularly and if any of the cats get a little upset the staff tempt them with food to keep them eating and give them lot of cuddles and reassurance. There were two different types of accommodation one more suitable for indoor cats and one for cats who like a bit more space. All of them had heat lamps and bedding in a nice quiet are of the accommodation. They all had litter trays and views of the fields. The indoor cats get a little veranda they can access via a cat flap, each cat has their own with a toy dangling inside so they can play and get some fresh air safely. The cats who are used to more freedom have a different accommodation area with private bed and tray areas but they still have a good individual floor space to play in, they even have big scratching posts too it's all very clean and secure. So happy with this choice we booked Bill in and agreed on dates and to bring all of his paperwork when we bring him through. Hopefully this year he'll come back happy and healthy and pleased to see us
Personally I think this place should have a FAB certification it's that well run and efficient
Now I just need to sort out a few more things on the list and hoping that DS's teeth are okay he had to see the dentist recently about a tooth coming down causing one to twist next to it...they want to see it in a few weeks and if needed extract it
I'm hoping it comes out first with some encouraging wiggling of it of course. I'm hoping the summer train timetables for the Manchester route will soon be available too. Then I can book tickets down and back and have another item ticked of the "to do list" and I'm waiting for a good exchange rate before getting some dollars for our trip, Crown Currency looks good but I would rather use our local P.O. Bureau de Change.
