Another Southwest policy change?

I saw this blurb in a newsletter I get periodically: "Sep.13= Southwest Airliners starts their new policy that if you do
not arrive for your flight on time and do not cancel, you will forfeit
what you paid for your ticket!"

I'm not sure how many people are aware of Southwest's generosity regarding missed flights up to now - but enjoy it while it lasts. Looks like they're aligning with standard airline practice on this.
 
Southwest announced this a few months ago. It only applies to non-refundable fares and only if you don't call, or go on the computer, to cancel your flight. If you do cancel your flight then you will still get your fare as a credit to be used later.
