They're stripes of blonde (or I guess whatever the opposite of your haircolor is) in your hair. I wouldn't get mine on the outside, it'd be on the bottom layer underneath near my neck.

I think bright blonde looks silly on black or dark hair though. I like the discreet ones.

Mm, I'm thinking like an orangey blonde, so it kind of blends in with the browness of my hair. My hair is fairly dark, but if I got something with browner side to it, it should be fine.
I'm worried about the packing tape, I don't believe it'll just slide off when I rinse my hair. I might try tinfoil.
That is if my mother lets me do this xD

I've never died my hair. My friend had red highlights put in and they look awful when they fade out. This girl in my class continually dies her hair, she it red, blonde, black, blue, purple, pink and then it went green. She's not a nice person so when she came in we all burst into laughter.

I usd to get streaks and stuff. It looked really stupid but I was in like grade 3, 4 and 5. I thought it was cool and so did everyone else.

And then one time I lightened my hair this ugly light brown color. It took forever to grow out, and then I had this ugly like line, of where the light color was and where my real color was. My problem with dying my whole head, is I have to keep on dying it, cut it, or let it grow out and cut it.

I used to want highlights. I wanted copper and light blonde ones. Of course i told all my friends this so then one day after finally getting my mum to agree to it my friend (whose hair is almost the same colour as mine but lighter) came in with copper and light blonde highlights. Oh i was mad. So then i wanted red ones but i couldn't get my mum to agree to that. Then it was electric blue, which i still think would suit me. xD.
