We went up for two nights about two weeks ago, May 11 to May 13.

This is actually the start of the trip report.

So on Thursday, May 12, we did Epcot because we thought we were having dinner at Akerhus.

We had the breakfast at the concierge club, and finally set out (I am not a morning person).

We did a lot of Flower and Garden stuff. I decided that I would do the Kim Possible thing this trip, so signed up for it before we got to the lake part.

Since I have a rule that I don't drink alcohol on land anymore that I only break when up at Disney World, I got a Guinness and a shot of Jameson's at the Rose and Crown, and we split an order of fish and chips. Then I started the Kim Possible thing. My girlfriend wasn't really into it, plus she went back to the room while I completed my mission in England.

Then I decided to do a mission in France, fortified by a Grand Marnier slushy.

I have only seen the cartoon a few times, but I really enjoyed the electronic scavenger hunt. I highly recommend it to anyone (even adults without children with) that wants to try something new at Epcot.

So I finally get back to the room. We are so used to struggling back to the Beach or Yacht Club after a hot humid afternoon at Epcot, that the long walk back to the Monorail seemed so much longer.

Think I took a nap. Then we went to the pool, which I have already mentioned is kind of small for such a large resort.

I think we had snacks at the concierge club for dinner. Then back to the room for the Water Pageant, Wishes, and sleep.

The problem with a short trip up to the World is that it is over really quickly. Friday was our last day. Since I am not a morning person, I did the final packing-up and called the bell service while my girlfriend left for the Magic Kingdom way before I did.

I caught up with her on the People Mover. Have to say, I liked the older version better. The Tom Morrow gag isn't as funny now.

We waited and got on Space Mountain. Think it only took half an hour. This was the first time I had been up since it was refurbed, so it was like a new ride to me. Especially with the games in the queuing! This is one improvement that is for the better.

We walked over from Tomorrowland over to Fantasyland. Can't wait for the new stuff next year! Looks really interesting from the construction walls.

We went on Small World (I like the additions; I have loved this attraction ever since the Flushing World's Fair!). Also around to the Haunted Mansion. Love the new queuing there also! And the tweaking that attraction has received. The Pet Cemetery is bitttersweet because of a certain animal in there from a long-gone attraction.

Then around to Pirates and The Jungle Cruise. Arrrgh!

Then after an ice cream on Main Street, it was time to go get our luggage from the Poly and drive back home. At least the lovebugs weren't quite as bad on the trip south.

Oh well. Don't know when we will get back up to the World. But we will never forget Room 2511 at Hawaii at the Poly!
