We are booked at our Disney Hotel for 2 weeks, with the 4 day cruise on the Wonder 3 days after we arrive. We intend taking only what we need for the cruise with us, along with any valubles, money, creditcards etc. and leaving the rest back at the hotel. Has anybody ever done this and will our stuff be safe left in the room. Should I inform front desk of our plans when we check in, just so they know where we are?

:earsboy: :earsgirl:

Let me get this straight. You've booked a room for a continuous two weeks, and in the middle you're going on a cruise (and continuing to pay for the hotel room). If that's the case, I would most definately let the resort know that your stuff will be in the room for a few days while you are away.
:jester: When are you going to be sailing? Mind if I use your room on your dime while you are on the cruise? It sure would cut down on the amount of money it takes for a visit to WDW!!:teeth: :teeth:

I'm sure if you let them know you will be fine.

jrabbit - we're coming too, how many can that room hold???:rockband:

Okay, I'll be the first to say it ... are you  ?
Even staying at a value resort, that still nearly $400, just to store your luggage? :confused3
There has got to be a better, more economical, way to store your stuff while you're on the cruise. Did you check to see if the hotel would just store it for you while you're gone? You'll be there a whole week after you return. Just a thought.

I have to agree with the others.....leaving your paid hotel room to do the cruise seems a bit...what should I call it without being rude...nuts!!! LOL!!! Honestly I am not trying to offend, just to understand.

Just wondering why you would not book 2 separate hotel ressies...one before the cruise...one after the cruise and save yourself some money!!!

Did you book a hotel package from a UK tour operator that locks you in or something??? If not, call WDW directly and see if you can change your hotel reservation to 2 separate ones. The money you save could easily pay for some drinks, tips and souvies on the ship!!!

To all who think I have gone mad- I booked this package holiday seperatley over 18 months ago. The cruise I only booked in March. I have had a wonderful deal for 2 weeks in this hotel, and yes I have phoned the hotel directley to see if I can work it out cheaper by making two ressies and booking the flight myself from the UK, but it would still come to more than the package I have got, believe it or not.

It suits me really well as I am a single parent taking my daughter and having to carry around 2 weeks worth of luggage and checking in three times and unpacking everything by myself especally as a non driver would be a nightmare.

So please bare with me, i've not lost my marbles, just managed to get myself a good enough deal to do it, and book a cruise as a treat as a suprise for my daughter.

Many thanks for your feedback.

:D :)

We're just playing with you. Sounds like a great time for your family and you will love it. As I said earlier, just let the front desk know and you should be fine. If there is a concierge in your hotel deal with them and let them know your plans. Can we still use your room though?????

Ahhh....it all makes sense now!!! I thought that must have been the reason....glad you got such a good deal and it will make it that much more easy for you and DD to leave some things behind in the room!!!!

I am sure the hotel will have no problem with you leaving stuff behind in your room!!!

Have a great holiday!!!!

:D Okay, so atleast we know you've not got  !! lol

Definitely let the hotel know you'll be out of your room those few days, and you should be fine.

Hope the surprise is a big hit!!
