Hi,

Trying to sort out my packing and was just wondering what the rules are regarding packing deodorant in your suitcase? Are you allowed a spray can one, even if it says they are flammable. (ie Nivea Pearl & Beauty Anti-Perspirant Deodorant)? I was not sure how the rules stood regarding spray cans like this, so hopefully someone can help me again.
Thanks :)

I take roll ons with me and pack them in the hold luggage. Non aerosols are fine but there have been so many mixed reviews I just take a roll on and buy a spray out there, which I leave behind when we come back.

There does seem to be so many opinions that i was feeling a bit confused. I shall go get a roll on and make sure i am being safe.

Thanks again for your fast reply 2tiggies :)

I've never heard of not being able to take them in your suitcase!!? My DH always does and I would as well but I prefer roll on these days! Before the liquid restrictions I used to carry the aerosol one in my hand luggage to freshen up during the flight, and I was never stopped.

I really wouldn't worry about it and would pack the one you like!

same here, as long as its in your case I wouldnt worry.Never heard of them not being allowed in the case:confused3

Well it looks like I am overly cautious. I do much prefer spray to armpit glue, but I will be doing as I always do again on this trip and buying the spray there. It's only a few $$$. However it looks from what others have posted that if you want to take your spray you shouldn't expect a problem. Just do what you are comfortable with. :)

I always take aerosols, not just deoderant either, hairs spray, insect repellant etc and I've never had a problem.

After our delay this year I will also be taking a travel sized spray in my hand baggage as we were left without anything! :scared1:

Yup same here always take aerosol cans in the suitcase and never been a problem - have never even thought about it - I wouldn't worry. I wouldn't take lighter fluid or anything though :lmao:
