Are the pools fresh water or salt water?

We should feel special too, don't all the other cruise lines have salt water? I would hate that!

I think most newer ships have fresh water pools now. By newer, I mean built in the 1990's or later.
We were on the Amsterdam in 2002 and it had fresh water.
The Norway had saltwater in both the outdoor and indoor pools........I don't recall whether the Nordic Prince or Soverign Of the Seas had salt water or not, but suspect they did since both were built in the 70's or 80's.

Yes, Soverign is salt water. We sailed it once to compare it to Disney, and believe me, once was enough! Hard to believe that was one considered a state of the art mega-ship many, many years ago.
