Another Question about POR

Can you specify which side you'd like to stay in - AB vs. Magnolia - and if you do, is it considered a priority request? I'm sure this seems like a simple question and my guess is that we can ask and wouldn't be charged for a more expensive room when a certain view is not requested. I just want to make sure I'm not making incorrect assumptions. You all are the pros here so I know this is where I can get the best info there is!

Just stayed at POR last month. Really liked it! We had a much better time than the previous two times at WL. We stayed in the Mansions side, first floor, corner room. AB side looked neat but next time we go we'll request Mansions again. You can request either side (AB or Mansions) for no extra cost...only extra cost would be if you request a "water" view room.

Yes, you can request Alligator Bayou or the mansions (Magnolia) side. There isn't a difference in price unless you request a water view. Standard views are the same price on both sides. Families that have 5 to a room and need a trundle get priority for the Alligator Bayou side since they don't have trundles in the mansions. There is never a guarantee that they can meet all requests like if you request a specific building but they do their best to accomodate and I am quite sure that if you let them know that you want to stay on the mansions side you'll get it. We really like POR and will be back in June.
