Another Pop Warner question

I've been looking through the other Pop Warner threads and I have pretty much decided that it doesn't affect you at the parks but you will definitely will notice them at the resort areas. We were all set on staying at POR for ten days, but now I am really worried about what to do. I was curious about when they start arriving at the resorts. I looked on the Pop Warner websites for the past four years and it is always the first full week of December, with events starting on Sunday. If they arrive on Sunday, we will only have them at the resort for four days of our stay. If they start arriving on the Friday before, that will be half of our stay. In your past experiences, when do the bulk of competitors start arriving? I guess a second parter to this question is, would it be better to book later in the week of Pop Warner into the next week after they leave? I read that as some groups are knocked out of the competition, they go home, which I would think would begin to clear the people out of the resorts???? Please help, after 7 months of reading the disboards and researching resorts, I thought I finally had it all figured out and was relaxed and ready to go...until I discovered Pop Warner stayed at POR. We can't afford a deluxe, and are not really interested in CBR or CSR...what would you do?

stay anyway - ask to not be near any of the cheerleaders. pretty certain that POR gets this request a lot....

this is a big resort - plenty of room.

you should be able to avoid them hopefully.

they can also be a problem on the bus - they will cheer then - yes even at midnight....

in the parks they could and will start screaming.

get park hoppers and leave that park just go to another one. they are generally in the parks together.
