Hi again !

I´m back from a non Disney holiday and I guess you will not hear the highs and lows from this journey. :rotfl2:

Anyway...it´s good to be back here.

My AP´s are value until Feb.2014 so I´m planning another trip right now.

Checking all the current offers on the different sites I could choose between these options:

5 nights at

a) SQL "Lodge" Room or Golden Forrest Room

The Golden Forrest Room would be 270,- more ? Is it worth it ?

b) NPB "normal" room or Admiral Floor

NPB would be 65,- more than SQL "Lodge" Room and 95,- cheaper than Golden Forrest Room

c) NYH which would be 35,- more than a Golden Forrest room

Hmmmm.....I do not know which room/hotel.

I really like the SQL and would love to see the Golden Forrest Room but I do not know if its really worth the money. I will not use the afternoon tea but the characters at breakfast would be great.

I never stay at the NPB and the Admiral Floor would be cheaper than Golden Forrest. It would be something new for us.

The NYH would be another option because the diffenrent in price is very less.

Help me !!

:grouphug:

I've seen on another forum that the NPB will be bang slap in the middle of its room/interior refurb between January and March next year, so I'd avoid that one to be honest.

If you won't use the afternoon lounge facilities at the SL, I'd just go for the SL normal lodge rooms :).

I'd choose HNY, well, I do love that hotel. But on the other hand it comes to 300 eur more.

As a big fan of the SQL, I would say...Go for the Sequoia ! :thumbsup2
If I'm not mistaken, the rooms here have been refurbished not that long ago (maybe last year or the year before ? I don't remember).
And if you're not going to use a lot of the facilities, I'd say, take a "simple" room, maybe in a quieter part of the hotel or whatever suits your taste, like a room view and make a reservation for a character breakfast ?

If it's a question of budget, I would have said "go for the NewPort" (I stayed here and like it very much, even in a "simple" room), but with the really monstruous rehabilitation they have to do....Let's forget it.

I never stayed in the New-York so I can't help you with it.

If I'm not mistaken, the rooms here have been refurbished not that long ago (maybe last year or the year before ? I don't remember).

The full hotel was refurbished last year, and NPBC will start it also in November, so I would avoid that hotel too.

GFC led to a big debate even in France, but many of its residents have loved the VIP breakfast or the access to the lounge. I would just say that if the hotel part is no so important to you (and that you would spend most of your time in the parks), just book a standard room (montana room in the main building is the best).

Moreover, this hotel is lovely in winter, and brings you to a very nice atmosphere.

Concerning the NY, it's not the same business, this hotel is four keys, and it is clearly more luxuous... but in my opinion, it is getting old.

If you can find a good promotionnal package, a GFC room in SQL is a great choice. :thumbsup2

I would probably go for a standard SQL room based on those prices you've been given. :thumbsup2

I would definitely avoid NPB because of the refurbishments.
