Just got back April 2 from a 7 night Western Caribbean. Not many people dressed up. Our family did, but when I say dressed up I mean I wore a striped shirt with a red headband, jeans and black shoes, kids just wore pirate themed shirts.

Oof! I hope more people dress up now that the deck parties seem to be returning...but then again, how would they know to pack for Pirate Night unless they're out here digging around on forums too, haha

More people dressed up for our 4 night Halloween cruise to the Bahamas (obviously) than our 7 night Caribbean cruise, It was mostly people dressed normally on Pirate Night. But grain of salt, both of those cruises were 50% capacity. Formal Night wasn’t even very formal for some families on board. Assuming our 2023 SB cruise will be back to normal. Or a new normal anyway!

Just got off the Magic on Saturday...we were, as always, quite surprised at just how many people dress up...especially how many people REALLY dress up. Like, did you have that full jacket and hat at home? Did you all raid a costume shop on the way to the boat? Are you REAL pirates? And we only had a "pirate day", no official night time pirate party.

Good to know! Out of curiosity, what day of the cruise on the Magic was pirate night (and how long total)? About to head on a 5 night and we usually do Palo on Pirate night (not a fan of the MDR menus for pirate night). Thx!

On our fantasy Star Wars day at sea cruise there was a pirate night but it was very low-key because it wasn’t a firework night so very few people dressed up but we did. For our marvel day at sea cruise the same thing. However our upcoming seven night cruise we are absolutely going to be dressing up and hope others do the same. It makes it more fun to see everyone in costume!

We sailed on Monday and Pirate Day was Wednesday, which was our sea day.
