I thought that I read that you could buy a CD before your trip for $99 rather than $125 after but I cannot see how to do this on the photopass website? Am I missing something?

That's if you buy it at the park, you don't get the add on's that way though, like Tink in yoiur hand, those are extra.

Well....

I purchased the CD in the park at the end of our trip last Friday for $59

My "TINK" pictures have TINK in them. My photos taken on the island all have the "I MET CAPTAIN JACK SPARROW" border on them.

Our CD from our May trip also had TINK in them as well.

How did you get the CD for $59? Was it a special promotion? I'm going in a few weeks and would jump all over it for that price.

You can purchase the CD before you go to the park for $99.95. See the link below:

http://www.disneyphotopass.com/previsitcdplan.aspx

By doing this you'll save 20% off the regular price if you wait to purchase it after you go home. The advantage of not purchasing it in the park is that you are able to add borders, graphics, signatures and such to the pictures after you go home. You can also upload your own photos. Some people are splitting the cost of the CD since you can add more than 1 photopass card to the CD.

they sell the cd's in the park for cheaper than you get can online.

i scrapbook, i don't want all the frilly borders and stuff, just the pictures.

the cd with no prints is 59.99. i believe their next "version" is 79.99 and you get 3 prints (normally approx 15 each) with it.

again, our "tink" pictures have always included TINK in them and this cd has the pirates border on those pictures (roughly 9 of them, the photographer took some candids of the kiddos talking to captain jack before the "posed" pictures)

Hi, Sorry to hi-jack the thread.....just wondering for those of you who have purchased the online photopass.....was it worth the extra $$$ to be able to add borders and such? Are there a lot of border options to choose from....is it easy to use?? We won't be arriving back from our U.S. trip until 2 weeks after we visit DL so I'll only have about 2 weeks to actually sit down at the computer and do it all (I'm pretty sure I read the photos only stay on the site for 30 days from your last day at the park).

Wow I think $59.00 sounds much better! I can print my own so I think thats the way to go. last trip we only had aboput 5 pics , i hope we get more this trip!

I did it on our last trip and only used a few signatures and some castle pictures on some pics. There was only a few borders and decorations to choose from and each picture had only certain choices depending on where the picture was taken I guess. this time I'm going for the $59 one unless they've changed it from last year.

You can also make a beautiful disney photo album of your trip. You can upload your own photos along with the photopass pictures. They also have a album of standard Disney pics that you can add to your book. The picture that they had on file of the xmas tree looked much better than mine so I used it in my book. I actually made one album from our last 3 trips when i found out about the photopass albums.

I also scrapbook, so am not interested in borders. Though a photo with Tink imposed would be cute! :)

So how do you buy it in the park? Do you buy it on your last day, and they burn it on the spot? If so, where? At the shop near Plaza Inn?

yes, we always buy on the last day.

NOTE though, on our May trip, we used the pass and the last picture wasn't yet "downloaded" to their system, I guess there is a lag time.

You can buy them at the shop on Main Street (used to be the Kodak shop, is it still?) or at the shop on the LEFT as you walk into DCA. We bought our last two at this shop as they had no line and we always see a line in DL.

They burn it right there. We had 102 pictures this last trip (which, according to the CM is a lot?, we were trying for a lot more than that) and it only took like 10 min for them to make the CD.
