I hate when someone write Dear so-and-so above the pre-printed message. I think it's so tacky - it's a preprinted greeting card company saying, stop trying to pass it off as a personal missive from your heart.
An actual note or letter written on the blank fold or back of the card IS a special touch but I know many don't have the time to do that so I certainly don't hold it against them.
So true, I guess next year we can expect threads that complain that family members send pre-printed cards instead of writing their own.
