We'll be going on our first cruise next year and instead of taking a nightlight (taking up valuable plug space) we will bring glow sticks for the kids. We use them when we go camping, so each girl has one by their bed and I also hang one in the bathroom so they know where they are going. I pick up inexpensive ones at Wal-Mart on a stick or you can get the necklaces at a party store. Wal-mart carries one (camping dept) that is like a glow stick, but takes batteries and turns off so they can have it through the whole trip. Glow necklaces probably will be fun for nighttime parties.

Good idea, then they won't ask for one of the ones they sell on board! I like that!

Thanks! I usually buy them in bulk through Oriential Trading (costs about $1 apiece) and then the girls have them through-out the summer, for sleepovers, camping, etc...

You can also crack the door to your closet, just a wee bit, that allows the closet light to stay on, and it is right next to the bathroom.

Just watch out if it's rocky, or it'll slide open and closed...open and closed... *sigh*

:teeth:

I love using Christmas lights. :D Just seems festive, somehow, and you can get different light features to fit the location.

Christmas lights are another great idea. It would just have to be a short strand so it wouldn't be too bright in the room.

Love these ideas!!!!

We have small penlight flashlights on our nightstands and they do come in handy during the night!
