Another one back from a fantastic Halloween trip - will do a trippie as soon as I get through the mountains of washing but, as usual, here are the highs and lows..

Highs
- The park itself looked amazing all decked up and the pumpkin people were brilliant.
- The weather. Usually it rains when we go but dry all week. :yay:
- MNSSHP. So many great characters and loads of fun.
- Meeting Chewbacca! My DH and DS were delighted
- Sulley, Evil Queen Cruella - DD was terrified of the last two but they were brilliant with her...Evil Queen even blew her a kiss at the end.
- The OUAD Halloween Parade was brilliant - loved the baddies, especially Dr Facillier.

Lows
- Disney messed up on our tickets leaving us a day short and having to pay for our last day in the park. Guest relations weren't helpful at all.
- One very weird Donald Duck who wouldn't sign for two very lovely but shy little girls who were a little scared to talk to him. :sad2:
- Queuing up twice for Crush for over an hour and it breaking down both times.
- Annette's Diner - horrible meal and to add insult to injury, we have just checked the bank statement and they have put the transaction through three times on our card.
- My DD losing her beloved Tinkerbell wand.

Had a really good time; very busy though and we only managed to do Slinky Dog in TSP as the queue times were really high. Now off to do washing and a mountain of ironing! Back to the real world :sad1:

Welcome back!!! sounds like you had a pretty bad time of it!...hope you managed to enjoy yourselves most of the time!!

It does seem like that when it is written down but apart from the ticket problem, it was nothing that really spoilt it.

Sorry you had problems with your tickets, we had the opposite with our passes :confused3.

Did you see the lad dressed as Aladdin in Halloweenland? Hollie thought he was Aladdin and wanted a photo, as did lots of people. He was told several times by the CMS to not have his photo taken with people but carried on and as we saw him the last time there were a couple of what looked like security guards watching him.

Welcome back :wave2: glad you had a great time.

Oh dear about your tickets, how did that happen?

Welcome back
I'm glad that overall you had a great trip- what a shame about those lows.
I hope your bank can refund the extra money taken for your Diner meal- it seems a very clear mistake. What did you eat there?

Hi, welcome back.

We must have had a similar Donald Duck, on are first visit three years ago, our shy then 3 yo DD went up to Donald Duck after some persuading by us and he snatched her autograph book and ran off with it, we had to give chase, through crowds of people! She has never forgiven him and two trips later still will not go any where near him!

Oh it is a very long a convoluted story but the general basis is that that the tickets they issued to us when we arrived didn't work - after holding up queues while they tapped in the long number they sent us off to Guest Relations to get replacement tickets. What we didn't realise is that the replacements they gave us were consecutive days tickets (our original ones were valid until 9 Nov) . We didn't go into the park until Tuesday evening with our MNSSHP tickets, but our tickets wouldn't work on the Thursday because even though we had enough 'days' left that we had paid for it was outside the consecutive days period. Guest relations were awful, basically said 'tough' and we ended up having to pay for a one day pass for each of us.

I had the Rockabilly burger and DH had the Onion Burger (I think). Plus 2 kids meals which could have been got from any fast food place in the park. The service was awful, the place was really dirty, no atmosphere and the food was really bland. We had a bad meal here last time but thought it might have been a one-off but we won't ever go back for what we paid. What happened with the payment was that the card terminal froze on inputting the pin so the server went away and came back with another terminal which worked - said the first one hadn't worked when apparently - according to the bank it had. Now we have to rely on Disney to refund as the bank won't as they say both transactions were authorised by the pin number. :headache:
