I think I know where we are going but I am not sure of the times.I was trying to decide since its August if we should have dinner : at the earliest time -like 4ish because of the heat.I figured we could cool down and by the time were done it may be a little cooler(I can dream right?LOL).

That's kind of what we did. We aimed for 5 pm dinner reservations most nights. I figure we can do breakfast in the resort (order from gardengrocer or wegoshop), counter service lunch before heading back for a swim, then dinner at 5ish. We tend to be morning people (well, at least 3 of us are. And we're loud.) so that makes sense to me.

Thanks for the welcome!
We do love it here. We just moved here this past June from
Long Island.The towns around here are so victorian and there is tons of history.
Not sure where Boalsburg.Im thinking west maybe?

Boalsburg,PA is right outside of State College (Go PSU)!! It is apparently the birthplace of Memorial Day!

Lewisburg is very different from Long Island, that is for sure! Glad to hear that you enjoy central PA!!! I would think that your taxes are better in Lewisburg than LI.

Taxes are a dream though people here do complain anyway until I tell themwhat I was paying.LOL

Havent been to State College yet but plan on it. We made it to Penns
Cave though and that was really cool.Supposed to be a
really nice town Ive heard.I will certainly appreciate the
PA resident rate when my girls are ready for college.
Lots to choose from.

I grew up in Lynbrook and now live in Hicksville.

I went to Lawrence HS until 10th grade so I went to Lynbrook a lot.I remember White Castle on Sunrise Highway was a favorite around 1am.Is it still there?
Still have family in Lawrence and Inwood.

The only thing I miss about LI is convenience to the airports. I have to drive to Baltimore-Wash for a direct
flight.Harrisburg has none and is pretty expensive .Other than that Central PA reminds me of Long Island from the
70s and 80s.

Lehigh Valley Int. Airport is only about 2 hours away from you. Allegiant Airlines flies out of there and offers non-stop flights to Orlando but into the Orlando/Sanford airport. It is a great little airport!!!! Just wanted to let you know.

Yeah, I was one who was a bit concerned about my taxes until we had new neighbors move into our development that were from LI and told us about the amount they use to pay. OUCH!

I have heard of Lehigh Valley airport but dont know much about Allegiant Airlines.Im not the best flier to tell the truth. We had a bad scare on our way back from Disney last time.I wanted to take the train but DH wouldnt do it.

I will look into that though.Thanks for the suggestion.BWI is about 2 hours 20 minutes according to Mapquest.I was eyeing a flight going to FLA for 69.00.Gotta make a decision soon though I guess.

That's a good rate! I booked Allegiant for that a few weeks back for the same rate and glad I did (I am assuming that $69 is one way, if it is roundtrip, jump on it).

This summer will be the first time we will be flying with Allegiant (August 11-15 at AKL). If you visit the transportation forum on these boards, you will be able to find out a lot of good information on Allegiant. Overall, what I have read, seems positive. Now, you know, there are always exceptions. Flying into Sanford, you will have to decide on what type of transportation you will take to get to your resort (ME is not offered out of Sanford). We decided on a sedan limo service.

Sorry to hear about your bad experience with your last flight. If you decide to fly, I hope it will be better.
