It's settled. Her name is Molly! Think of the variations: Molly Butterscotch, Molly Cheeto-pants, Molly Gingerbritches....

I was thinking the same thing! Or name her AnoMolly and call her Molly for short!

DH's family always named cats after beer...there was a Killian and a Schooner. Killian was a girl, calico. Schooner a boy, looked liked a tiger cat but in gray.

I like Cheeto too, for the orange-y color.

I love all the names you guys are coming up with! I actually thought of the perfect name (IMO) for her the other day. Whimsy. It fits! I think I could talk my DH into it, but the boys aren't keen on it. I even tried to buy their votes, but my DS11 is diggin his heels in. I have a feeling that this poor kitten is going to end up being "Baby" or "Kitty" because that is all we can call her right now..

That's exactly what happened with one of our cats. Couldn't come up with a name for her and "Baby" is what stuck. Turns out it fits her though as she's never really grown and although she just turned 2, she's smaller than our 6 mos olds! (her nickname is Little Britches)

We've had a orange tabby adopt us and we also looked under the tail and did not find any male parts...LOL We started calling her Cinnamon.

We have an orange little girl. (And yes, until we had her, we thought orange tabbies were always male.) Her name is Jessie. (Yes, after the character in Toy Story, but your dh doesn't have to know!!)

hahaha, we had a cat like that once. it really wasn't ours, and i don't know who it belonged to, but it came to our house every day and we fed it and gave it love and attention. we didn't want to get too attached so we simply called it "orange kitty" (it was an orange tabby). i loved that cat.

my mom now has a black cat named "miss kitty" and one named "scats" because it's afraid of everyone and runs and hides as soon as you walk in the door. her former boyfriend had a manx named "fuzzybutt" because there was just a puff of fur where its tail would have been. they called him fuzzy.
