I have just read that a 35 year old woman callapsed when getting off mission space last night. they are not sure if it was down to the ride or for another reason at the moment. sorry if someone has already posted this today.

I hate to hear of incidents at WDW ~ Hope the woman is ok.

Blimey, I guess if she fell on exiting the ride that can happen on quite a few - I nearly fell on the moving walkway on Peter Pan last year.

Although unfortunate, if you look at this logically from a statistical point-of-view these things are bound to happen. There are thousands of people riding everyday, a minority of whom will be more susceptible to the effects of the ride than the majority. The more people that ride the greater the chance of someone having an issue with it.

AndRu, I agree with you on this one. So many people also get hurt/injured/die when just crossing the road or such and you never hear about it. With the millions of people that go to Disney the statistical chance of anything happening are extremely small yet you always seem to hear of it.

I blame it on this: "Prior to 2001, Disney was not required to report these incidents to any authority. As long as a ride hadn't malfunctioned and as long as the the death pronouncement came at the hospital and as long as the medical examiner determined the death to be the result of a natural cause, there was no news story. That's not true today."
