How many names can you have on a DVC deed?
Only having one card and all the adults in diffrent places makes it tough. DH needs one for golf, DM needs one to eat at Epcot and I need one to go to spa.

If you're talking about using DVC discounts on-site, when you check-in at the resort, your room key will have a notation that reads "DVC Member". I believe that this is adequate for utilizing all of the DVC discount programs while on-site.

You want to be very careful in the individuals that are placed on your deed. We're talking about a real estate investment here. Even if it's a close relative you trust like a parent or child, I'm guessing that a portion of the DVC ownership could end up part of an estate distribution if one of the owners were to pass-away.

Anyway, 99.9% of the time, your room keys should be all you need in order to use the discounts while staying at a DVC resort.

All that I have ever needed was my resort ID. This is one of the benefits that renters actually get. Their resort ID says "DVC Member", they do get the benefit of DVC discounts.

I am somewhat ambivilant about that. On one hand, its against the rules, renters are not supposed to be eligible for DVC discounts. On the other, it does add a nice value to rented points.(See!!!! I am not catagorically against point renting, just its abuse)

I believe you can have up to four names on the deed. You can add assoiciate members without them being on the deed and I don't know if there is a limit. If you want to change the deed, there is a cost in that. Associate members do not get cards except in one circumstance, that is if they are a member on another contract with the same person. You can always get extra cards with the same name though.

We have actually had to show our DVC card in the past especially at Golf where they said DM would have to be one of the golfers (That went over like a fart in church with DH!). My mom & I also lives 4 1/2 hours away from each other so 2 cards would be helpful for that reason. My mom had made the primary investment and I have paid for the add on's and just cut her a check once a month thereby not changing the deed.
