Another Magical Express Question

Hello Everyone! Happy Saturday !

I already have 6 nights in early December, booked at BCV. I will be using Magical Express. I will be flying Southwest, as I've done before. I have used ME before, with Southwest, and it was easy - I just have to handle my own luggage.
I even PREFER it that way.

I am strongly considering adding just one extra day to my trip, at the beginning, and it will be at The Dolphin.

I know fully well that The Dolphin does not participate with Disney's Magical Express.

Is it possible to get the ME, and at the ME counter, to just say that I am headed for The Beach Club ? After all, I WILL be over there the very next day. I don't mind at all walking my stuff over from The Beach Club to The Dolphin. I will be by myself, as this entire vacation will be solo. It's not as if I am taking up 10 seats on the ME, and I WILL be at the Beach Club the very next day.

Please let me know what you think.

I think your ME documentation will show the date and time your flight arrives in MCO as well as the date your BC reservation begins. However, I just read on another thread that you can purchase a Mears transfer and ask to be put on the ME bus that goes to the Y&B Club. Good luck!

Nope, DME it tied to your resort reservation. You can only use DME if you are leaving from a WDW owned resort....on a day that you are listed as staying at the resort. Once your reservation at that resort ends, you are no longer entitled to use DME. You could call Mears, and they would most likely put you on a DME bus, but you would have to pay for the ride.

You would need to pay Mears for your ride to the Dolphin. You would also have to arrange this transportation through Mears itself, and not ME. ME services only Disney-owned resorts.

Because the ME desk has access to your reservation, which will show that you are checking into the Beach Club the next day, you won't be able to arrange transportation through them on your arrival day. It's not a question of their being taken in by dishonesty, as you will not be able to tell the ME desk that you are checking into BC, say, on Wednesday when you are in fact checking in on Thursday. Their computer will show the specifics of your Disney reservation.

You will be able to use ME for your return trip, though, if you are returning to the airport from a Disney-owned resort. You need to pay only for a one-way ticket to the Dolphin on Mears.

If you choose to augment your trip with a stay at a non-Disney hotel, you will have to give up some of your Disney perqs.
