Well, we’ve made it through the worst of September Snowpocalypse 2019. It snowed non-stop for 3 days and we ended up with about 6” accumulation. Luckily it was also very windy so not a ton of it accumulated on the trees; downed trees are a big hazard when it snows heavily before they’ve shed their leaves. Power lines are not an issue because they’re pretty much 100% underground, so no major disruptions of any kind. Plows and sanders have been out all weekend but the roads are a little slippery - the first morning commute of “winter” is always a treat because people need to remember how to drive on ice.
Temperatures are forecast to be above freezing by afternoon so it’ll be a slushy mess for a day or two. Back to seasonal (mid-50’s F) for the rest of the week and the long-term says it will be all lovely and golden again through to Thanksgiving (October 14).
