Another horrifying spider encounter!

ChefBilly, I have already sent that one around at work. My friend who is deathly afraid of spiders was throughly freaked out. Not to mention the rest of us too.

It would take a pretty big boot to stomp on those monsters.:jumping2:

Check out this monstrosity that our soldiers in Iraq have to deal with: (Brace yourself for this if you don't like spiders.)

Camel Spider

I think I'd be more afraid of those suckers than crazy insurgents!

My Mother always said "they're more afraid of you than you are of them".
I guess that was supposed to help somehow. :)

Ok you think THAT'S bad??
Last night I was awaken at 3 AM by a spider....CRAWLING ON ME  I was absolutly terrified, especially since I didn't catch him and he crawled under my matress...I knew I should have stayed at the boyfriends house....

I always check the ceiling before I go to bed too ::yes:: . I can take care of them myself if they are small enough but the bigger ones DH has to take care of because I can't handle the crunch :crazy2: (just typing that gives me the willies).

The other day there was a particularly ugly spider in the kitchen and DH had left for work. I wad up a nice cushy piece of TP and get the nerve up to squish it. Well, as soon as I get close enough, the darn thing leaped at me! Thought I was gonna have a heart attack :scared1: . Luckily, it jumped to the floor where it got stepped on but not before it did a couple more spidey leaps :charac4: !

I hope everyone's ceilings are spider-free tonight :teeth: .

<font color=navy>Spiders literally make my hair stand on end, but I'm the one who has to take care of them here at home.

I remember one time, laying on the couch when I was a teen & felt something land on my face -- it was a spider that had dropped from the ceiling. Think bionic man with the speed I used to jump off that couch... (shudder)

I now constantly check ceilings for spiders. I can spot them right away.

My cats are good at catching spiders!...I always do a spider check before bed.....I've been doing that since I was just a little girl.

I have to share a funny story about my mom and sister-in-law.

My SIL was afraid of spiders, and they moved into an older house that had lots of them on the ceilings (but they had like 12 foot ceilings, so they were pretty far away) Anyway, my MIL told SIL that the spiders were "ceiling spiders" and they wouldn't come down past the trim. Needless to say, she believed her for about 6 months until we filled her in on the joke. I still can't believe she was so gullible!

I start to hyperventilate when I see a spider. I can't breate, I start breathing crazy, it just TERRIFIES ME! It really scares me that THEY CAN SMEAR FEAR!!!! My goodness, I must reek of it!!!

My cat is good at catching them too, but he seems to be slipping lately. ;)
