Another holy cow at the prices thread!!!

So we are headed to the World for 12 days in December, staying at BC for 7 nights and then a 1 bedroom at OKW for 5 nights. For the BC ressie, we got a fantastic conference rate of $175/night for Garden View. Out of curiosity, I checked rates with the 30% off discount today, and a room at BC (it was lagoon view so a bit more) was $464/night!!! That's just absolutely crazy! So glad we have the conference rate...do people really pay that much??

Are you going during Christmas week? That's the most expensive week of the year.

But yeah, that comes out to about $603 per night. That's insane for a regular room.

As stated above, I'm pretty sure that's not including the discount. I have a friend going around that very time and staying at BC and the rate she was quoted was around $470 before discount. Also, we stayed at YC during summer season last year and I know the rate we got was discounted from around $400, and while I know the prices went up a bit, I can't fathom THAT much of a swing.
