Looking at the questions about the Guide Books, what would you be willing to pay for a GOOD one? I think the DIS should do a book!

The closest thing I've come across to an abbreviated DIS "book" is Passporter's e-book: 500 Fast Tips for WDW (http://www.passporterstore.com/store/1587710323.aspx) I'm about 150 tips into it and have found some useful stuff, but not a lot I didn't know from lurking around here for a while. If I didn't have the time to lurk, it would be well worth the <$6.

I pay $20 each for the Passporter and the UG and consider it money well spent. The bulk of those two make them worth $20. The anemic UG to DL is notworth the $16 cover price. I was so sad! I am anxious to see what Passporter has in their upcoming DL version. . .

Just my two cents. . .

nice review on the book Dale-n-Chip. I dont have the Passporter's e-book, think I will look into it.

I paid for the Deluxe Passporter years ago. It's a leather-bound notebook, similar to a DayTimer. Now, I just buy the updated refill text when a newer edition is published. They cost about $13 or so if purchased from the Passporter website (not sure if you can get them on Amazon or not). They also publish updates on their website for any changes that occur between printings. It's my #1 choice for guidebooks!

Hi, another fan of Passporter & UG. Like Dale-n-Chip, I just buy the refill for the deluxe passporter each year. The color maps are very helpful and so are the tips and advice. Good luck deciding!

I get the most current guide books out of the library so I don't have to buy them.

Ditto! Just got 2 of the new 2006 ones and cannot wait to dive into them!!

I would also advise checking a few out of the library. You may then decide which one you prefer and purchase it. You will want to mark up your won book with notes, highlights and we all know you cannot do that to a library book. I have found the Passporter book to work best for me.

Very good idea about the Library! There are a few I would maybe like to read but not own until I see them.
