Sorry guys, but I have yet another FP question. Say the park opens at 8am, say I go straight to SM to get a FP, what is the starting return time on the FPs when park opens?

Another question, tell me what you think. We are a family of 5 going, although youngest DS is too small for several, if not all of the FP rides. My thoughs for 1 day are going somewhat like this:
Park opening, book it for SM, get 2 FPs, have DH and oldest DS ride on it while we are there first thing in morning, and have them get a baby swap pass for me and middle DS. Go to Indy, get a FP with my ticket and middle DS ticet, get baby swap pass for DH and oldest DS. Do Fantasyland. Head back towards NOS and CC. Get FPs/baby swaps for Splash, do HM and POTC. Start using the FPs and collecting more as we go along.

Does that sound like it would work??

The return time is usually 35-45 minutes later, if you get it right at opening. Next one (again, if picked up right at that 35-45 minute interval) can be anything from 45 mins to 1 1/2 hours, more usually around an hour. After that it kind of depends on how busy the parks are that day.

I'm not sure about your strategy; it might be a good way to get FPs for more rides at once, since not all of you will ride. On the other hand, it's usually recommended that you don't actually ride the FP rides until later, after you've already taken advantage of the early, uncrowded park conditions to ride non-FP rides. You get Matterhorn, Star Tours, and BTMRR (on some weekdays when they shut down FP) out of the way... maybe some FL rides... HM, Pirates... all while collecting FPs to use later when it's crowded and they're really worth something.

Another thing, it's kind of nice to just get all your FPs at once for each ride. You can even put in your youngest's park ticket for a FP; that way, when you do a baby swap later, you get that baby swap ticket, and somebody gets to ride 2 or 3 times. My DD10 loved this, she got to ride Indy to her heart's content between all the FPs and baby swaps we had.

If you have leftover FPs at the end of the day, it's really nice to gift them to somebody standing in the standby line with tired kids. Do it yourself dream team-- lots of fun! :thumbsup2

Dunno if that's helpful at all, or just my usual demented ramblings...

rember a fast pas you get in am you dont have to use at the time you can use it any time after it say 8pm

The first FP return time of the day is 45 minutes after park opening.

I would suggest you start with FL rides because the lines build so quickly there and send a runner (usually dh does this while we're on teacups) to get 2 Space FP and 2 Indy FP (with the 4 parkhoppers). Then when you return with your FPs you can do baby swap. Once your time is up on those FPs use the tickets for two other attractions like Splash/BTMRR and use baby swap with those as well. Just remember with baby swap, it is good for 2 people, so on Indy, your oldest will get to go twice. On the others where your 4 year old is tall enough, your older two will have to take turns.

Fill in your time between FPs with PoTC, HM, Jungle Cruise, Pirate's Lair, etc. During the time of year you are going, I wouldn't expect Buzz to have a huge line, so I might even skip getting FPs for that.

Make sense?

Yea, we usually skip FPs on Buzz and on BTMRR, usually the lines are not longer than 20 minutes and they move pretty quick relative to some other rides.

So I guess we will collect FPs for Splash, SM, and Indy, and do the other rides in FL, NOS, and others until later in the day. And of course we will continue getting FPs as long as times have all passed up until we are ready. And if we dont get a chance to us them all, then we will save them for the net day (ok, I know there is a letter missing out of net, but that button is not working on my keyboard :confused3 )
