Ok, I've been reading the unofficial guide and I'm slightly confused on one issue regarding Fast pass. Let me put this question out there and it will clear my confusion: Can you obtain more than one fast pass at a time for the same ride? IE, Can you get a Fast Pass for Jungle Cruise and come back 10 minutes later, get another one and ride Jungle Cruise twice in the same block of time? I know this sounds like a dumb question, but.... :confused3

It used to be that you could only have one fast pass at a time. I think that they have changed that and the 1st fast passes will tell you when you can get another one. So in your case, if you are thinking of getting a FAST PASS for the attraction and then right away getting another one, the system will not let you do that. Unless they have changed the rules again.

It doesn't matter if the "next" FP is for the same ride or a different one, you can't get another FP until the time the first FP has printed at the bottom of the ticket.

No you can't. When you get a fast pass, the time you can get another fast pass is printed at the bottom. How long you have to wait to get another one depends on crowds (I think.) Anyway, we could usually get another one in about 1 1/2 hours, though it can be longer than that. Where you choose to get your next fast pass is totally up to you. Hope this helps!

OK, it's late and I'm still a bit confused. here is my plan: Get to MK when it opens and go straight to Space Mntn (get FP) go to Buzz Lightyear (get FP) and then take the little ones on over to Mickey's Toontown Fair and meet the characters before it gets too crowded. The question is, can I have both FP's at the same time????

Nope. You can only have a FP at the time listed on the 1st FP. And if you are going firt thing in the morning, ride Space Mountain and Buzz Lightyear, and Mickey's Toontown doesn't usually open until about an hour after the park opens. Hope this helps.

This really needs to be one of those permanent topics at the top

You can have multiple fastpasses in your possession at all times!!!

I am not entirely sure, but I don't think you can get another FP until the time listed on the first one you get. I believe it usually about an hour or so later that you can get another one. But I guess if you get FP for all really later in the day, you could end up with multiple fastpasses.

(I'll assume you're not joking.)

No, you can only get one set of FP's in say the first hour or so.

If you get them for Space, then you can't get them for Buzz until the time is reached that is printed on the bottom of the first FP's.

And Toontown does not open until an hour after the rest of the park.

Sorry to have caused an arguement... but I have it now I think. Thanks for clearing (and attempting to clear) that up for me!!

YOU CAN HAVE MULTIPLE FASTPASSES AT A TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is direct from the DisBoards information on Fast Passes:

One thing to keep in mind, for the most part you can't get another FASTPASS until the current one is in effect. You'll see the time when you can get your next FASTPASS printed on the bottom of your pass. In other words, don't plan on going from one FASTPASS attraction to another gathering up slips. These machines are smart and won't issue another until your current pass allows it.

Although in your scenero you could spend the whole first part of your morning go back and forth from attractions collecting fast passes for later on in the day, but why???

Ride the rides first thing in the morning, and save Fast Passes for later on in the morning when the lines start getting long. Just my 2 cents. :goodvibes

You fastpass at 9:00 and again at 10:00 - after that, you can hold multiple fastpasses all day assuming you continue to get them.

Who, for the love of Pete, gives a flying fig about that?
Being able to devise a long-term plan to be able to "HOLD" Multiple FP's is not the issue most people care about.

These questions are generally about "can I go directly from FP machine to FP machine gathering a pile of FP's, then just walk from ride to ride and do them in a row using up the pile of FP's?"

The direct answer is NO.
Because there is a significant WAITING PERIOD between the times you can get FP's.

This is too easy.

Anyone can have multiple fast passes. Simply fetch the next one just before using the one you already have.

PM me for the method on how to double your money (a riddle).

Something everyone should know: If the come back time is more than 2 hours away you only need to wait 2 hours tops to get your next fast pass.

Irregularity many DIS'ers know: You can get a fast pass for Lights Motors at MGM about 5 minutes before or after (but not both) getting a fast pass for something else.

Irregularity few people know: When the park is less busy, the time you can get your next fast pass can be sooner than that shown depending on what ride you want the next fast pass for but this is not advertised and is somewhat unpredictable.

Let's imagine the system was changed to let you. Then chapters will be published in guide books opining on how much time early in the day to spend criss crossing the parks fetching fast passes versus how much of the first hour to spend riding before fast passes start maturing and fast pass lines start competing with the regular lines.

So much of this is covered in the Unofficial Guide (which I love).

It is wise to accumulate FP's during the early part of the day -- they run out by the early afternoon in many cases. One can sometimes gather them at the rate of one per card per hour or so. We have found that running around a little during the early AM pays dividends later in the day.

A CM for Exp.Everest explained that much (80~90% or more!) of their capacity is devoted to FP holders. So, if you want to try to walk on to a popular attraction when it starts getting crowded, you're stuck!

Think of getting in line behind a few hundred people all trying to buy a stand-by ticket on an airplane where 85%+ of the seats of the planes have already been reserved and sold to other passengers . . .

Here's the real trick -- You can use FP's, generally, after their indicated time window, sometimes even on a subsequent day! So the 8+ FP's that my family accumulates for BtM or SM going back and forth during a morning are essentially our "options" for walk-on access later that day/visit.

I did PeterPan 3 times in a row with my 4 year old this past January, when there were 30 min walk-on waits using accumulated FP's ... (you are free to interpret whether that was a good or bad experience).

There's one other, more devious trick with the FP machines that sometimes works, but I would not know about that.
