Another EE question - how early to arrive

I'm starting to plan my schedule so that's why I have so many questions today. I've never done EE before and I'm confused.

In november, the park opens at 10. EE starts an hour before the park opens so 9 am.

Now, mainstreet opens half an hour before 10, so if ppl start lining up for regular admisssion at 9 or earlier to be in mainstreet by 9:30, how do the ppl with EE get around the normal line up ppl. Does this make sense, lol?

Do EE holders go to different line? Does mainstreet even open half an hour early on EE days?

My general rule is to get there about 30-40 minutes before opening, so for you this means 8:15-8:30. That way you won't be WAAAAAY back in the line for the EE people.

I agree with Ter Moo.....get in line between 8:15 & 8:30 am for your EE opening.

If someone "in line" doesn't have EE privilidges, they'll be asked to step aside. (less likely to happen if you are in line by 8:30am...only EE'ers would likely be in line).

Tinabell, are you doing FL for EE? (or Nemo / SM etc.)

Have fun. :cool1:

Okay, so I guess they dont' have a seperate line for EE then.

We're mainly using the EE so we can be in the park as soon as it opens to get FP for Space mountain, and get all other FP's as early as we can. Last year we were shocked when we went to get FP's for Space mountain at 1 pm and the machines were closed because all the FP's were gone, and the standy by line was 95 minutes (that was on the saturday).

We're actually planning to skip Nemo, hoping that everyone else will be in the Nemo line so we can go on the FL rides with no line up. We've never done the FL rides before because we thought they were children's rides, but then after looking at pictures and hearing other people talk about them they sound like great fun.

Just had a thought, Fast Pass machines aren't open until the park officially opens for the day right? Or can I get SM fast passes during EE?

Actually I think there are separate lines for EE and non-EE guests, though it will be very obvious which ones you can use. I believe there is a sign that says right above the turnstyles that declares which lines are which.

It should be pretty empty, but since you're going in November, middle of the week, I wouldn't worry too much about Space Mountain FPs running out. They may not be running at all. But you can't get FPs during EE anyways.

If I may make one suggestion it is to not skip Nemo. The lines will not be as long as the horror stories heard on these boards and MIGHT reach an hour in the peak of the day, but I'd expect shorter lines in the mornings/evenings. I loved the ride and, assuming you're spending more than one day, you'll have plenty of time. However, I don't recommend using EE. Go ahead with your FL EE plan. It worked great for us! We rode peter pan, Alice, Mr. Toad, Matterhorn, Mad Tea Party, Pinocchio, and Snow White in about 45 minutes in August. In November, I'd assume you can do more.

Last year during the week the parks were empty, however we're going closer to Thanksgiving this year and there is an oil field conference at the Anaheim hilton, so we're planning for large crowds. I'd rather be prepared and pleasantly surprised than the other way around like last year's saturday.
So you enjoyed Nemo? Dh and I don't really care if we see it, so we'll probably play that one by ear. But it's nice to hear someone enjoyed it and thought it was worth the wait for a change.

Correct you can't get FP until official Park Opening. BUT...you can send a runner over to SM (ahead of the non EEers) at 9:50 - 9:55 to pick up FP tickets for SM (there will be a short line) while the rest of the family enjoys the carousel or teacups or Buzz the last few minutes of EE.

BTW, although my recommended FL EE itinerary is:

- PP
- Dumbo
- Alice
- Matterhorn
- Toadie
- Pinocchio
- Snow White
- Carousel

(During November or if i was going to be there several days....I would consider doing Buzz or SM after Toadie)

Buzz is a cool ride to ride 2-3 times in a row & this can easily be done the last 15 min of EE.

Have fun.

Love that, thank you so much for your intinerary. I was actually having trouble trying to decide which ones to go on first considering I've never done them. Should I ride the teacups in there some where or are the teacups good to ride any time during the day?

No, the teacups can build quite a bit of a line. If you want to ride them, I'd suggest squeezing them in between Matterhorn and Mr. Toad in that itinerary. I would second using that itinerary. It's probably what I'd do as well.

I omitted teacups because DW & her sister wouldn't ride.

I agree with DLR.....insert after Matterhorn & before Toadie.
