another DVC web site cry for help

For those who have had trouble with the Web site and others who may be experienced in figuring out to get into the site...

At one point, I was able to get into the DVC web site but have had continuing difficulties for several months. After spending a lengthy time on the phone with technical assistance, they were able to reset my user name and password (again) and I can get into the site from work.

However, now, at home, once I put in my user name and password, I am brought to the internet explorer cannot access site page, which tells you to check your browser settings.

Has anyone ever had a similar experience or does anyone know of any particular setting in IE that can be changed? I have tried so many different things. I can't figure out why this is so problematic.

Any advice?

BTW--I do not have a MAC--it's a PC (since I know there was a MAC issue at one point).

Have you tried deleting all your temporary files, cookies and history before entering your ID and password? If not, I'd start with that.

Do you have a User ID for any other Disney-affiliated site that might conflict with the DVC User ID?

I've long had an ID for use at Disney.com / Disneystore.com / Espn.com, but made the mistake of getting my son a Disney Daily Blast account under a different ID. The browser cookies turned the situation into a nightmare. DDB often wouldn't give me the opportunity to log-in under DS' account--it would automatically try to get me in under my Disney.com ID and tell me that I wasn't signed up for the service.

Are you using AOL. I know at one time our chat servers did not communicate with AOL's version of Internet Explorer. From what I understand, the IE that comes with AOL is not the "Full" version and it can have problems with some websites. I don't know all the technical stuff, but that is what I was told.

I don't have AOL. I will try deleting all the cookies first and see if that works. I do have other user IDs probably for other Disney sites--not that I remember signing up or using them, but I am sure that I have. I hope deleting the cookies will help. I'll give it a try, and thanks for the suggestions.
