I was reading the thread about where every one's Crocs were made and was surprised about a couple of things. First of all many of you have multiple pairs, I don't even own 1. The thing that surprised me the most was the number of men & boys that have Crocs. I live in a small city (approx. population 30,000) and there are not many "Croc owners" around here so I don't know who wears them. Is it popular for men/boys to wear Crocs in your area? I can't imagine any guy around here going out in public with them on!!!! I am not saying that men should not wear them, I am just surprised at how many posted that their DH or DS has Crocs. Maybe we are just behind the times here (which would not surprise me.) Do you wear Crocs as everyday shoes or just when you are doing a lot of walking? Just curious :teeth: .

My DH has bright orange crocs. You'd have to know him though. He couldn't care less what anyone thinks of what he wears. LOL Mone are a colbalt blue and I love them although I am not sure about doing WDW in them as they have no support and I think over time wearing them too much will cause problems for the feet/legs/back.

Okay...I am female and I wear my Crocs every where and everyday most days. I have the Beach and Scutes styles. Now, my husband, has the same styles and he wears his Scutes everyday and just about every where...he won't wear his to church though...I do depending on what I'm wearing. We, too, live in a small town...actually only about 10,000. You know, it's about comfort...what's comfortable on your feet and what you're comfortable wearing.

I wear them everywhere everyday. Well almost. I did wear good shoes for my interpreting test recently. I wear my black one to church.

The only men I see wearing Crocs in these parts are doctors.

I saw plenty of guys (including little boys) wearing them at WDW.

My DH wouldn't be caught dead in them!

Lisbet...I knew I liked you...an interpreter to be and a Croc wearer! You go girl!! :cheer2:

I hope all went well on your test :wizard: ...would love to hear the results!! Just did a practice session with some K-12 interpreters...well, folks who hope to stay there or start working there...the law changed as of July 1 here...about time! so some are taking the EIPA this weekend, so I helped out.

Oh, and to the OP...sorry...didn't mean to take over the thread for a minute... :flower3:

I now return you to your regularly scheduled thread.... :happytv:

After people watching at WDW recently & seeing the number of men wearing Crocs (we counted--it was over 50 people in less than an hour in Epcot, with about 1/3 of them men. My kids thought it was hilarious!), my DH finally broke down & bought a pair. He wears them about 50% of the time, alternating with some regular leather sandals.

I wear mine everyday when I can because they're the most comfortable shoes I own at the moment. :)

My DH is really disappointed that they don't sell the Nile style of Crocs in men's sizes. Those are the only style that he would ever wear. (BTW, in case you have never seen the Nile style, they look NOTHING like the Cayman/Beach styles that everone is used to seeing!)

I am a Guy and I love my dark blue Crocs & don't care what they look like

I think I have 8 pairs in three different styles. :rotfl: I wear them all the time. I only switch to other shoes if it's really, really cold or I'm dressed up. They are so ugly, but they feel good so I don't care.

My DD has 4 pairs and my DH has 1 pair. DS doesn't have any yet, but I'm going to get him some of the flipflops if I can ever find the color/size he wants.

DH just got his first pair, although he only wears them to walk the dog or go to the pool. I dont think I'll ever get him to wear them anywhere else.

DS owns 2 pair. He and I saw Hoot and ds pointed out 'hey, look, Jimmy Buffett is wearing Crocs. I guess they are cool for boys to wear' After that he was brave enough to wear them to school. If anyone said anything to him he told them about Buffett in the movie, LOL
By the last day I spotted a couple other boys wearing them.

DD's and I have a rainbow of colors- DBF will wear my navy blue ones to bring out the trash, run out to his truck, or just dub in the yard. He swore he'd never wear them 'in public'

Until we went canoeing! I had on a pair and brought him the navy blue just in case...sure enough once he saw me walk into the water and jump in the canoe, he asked if I had brought them. So he'll wear them in the comfort of our canoe too LOL

Chef Mario Batali wears bright orange Crocs.

My husband doesn't have any, but he barely wears anything other than his sneakers, so I'm not wasting money buying him some that he won't wear.

At the ballpark the other day, I was walking up the stairs behind a couple of young boys, about 8-10 years old, and one was wearing red and the other had orange.

I definitely see more women than men wearing them, but I have seen a fair number of men wearing them too.

My DH liked my Islanders and bought a pair. The only time they are not on his feet is when he's at work! He was just saying yesterday that he can't wait to wear them to WDW! I want to get another pair that are brown like his but they don't sell that style anywhere near us. I think I am going to order them from Dillard's website.

DD has navy blue "knock-offs" but we haven't convinced DS of their coolness quotient yet!
