Hey everyone, I found these helpful when I was waiting, so I figured I'd post mine
June 4 - received email that new BWV 100 pt contract with banked points was available, made offer within a few minutes, seller sent small counter a few hours later, we accepted, and we received the contract from the broker that evening
June 5 - returned signed contract
June 6 - sent to ROFR
July 3 - Disney waived ROFR
July 10 - received closing docs from title company
July 13 - sent signed docs and final check to title company (my work hours prevented me from getting to the bank before the evening of July 12)
July 16 - title company received our docs and check
July 17 - deed was sent to closing
July 18 - date of docs on Orange County website (not sure when they showed up, I wasn't putting our names in the right box)
July 19 - notified that we had closed
Aug 1 - received points charts in the mail from Disney, but no member card
Aug 2 - called and received our member id, booked our first vacation with points!
I probably could have called earlier to get my member id, but I didn't want to bother them. Plus with them only being open 9-5, I had to take time out of my work day to call, which I didn't want to have to do multiple times.
Anyway, I'm very excited to have my first vacation booked. My original plan was to rent out the 100 banked points, but our friends who also own DVC are going April 20-27, and we've always wanted to go at the same time they do. They are planning on switching their reservation to BLT at 7 months. But for us, I was able to get a standard view studio at BWV for now. I was surprised that both standard and boardwalk view were available. Hoping to switch over to AKV at 7 months. If we can by some chance get a value studio, we can stay an additional night, so we'll see. The big one will be October 2013, can't wait to book my standard studio for Food and Wine!
