A cute little chickadee flew into my window and doesn't appear to be injured. He hops, moves his wings bilaterally when he hops, but clearly he is winded, breathing through his mouth. I brought him in the house where it is warm and he is in a ventilated shoe box. I think he will be okay without food for an hour or so, until he warms up and catches his breath. What do you think?

I caught him and took him outside. I put him down on the deck, so in case he tried to fly he wouldn't fall very far. He turned around, looked at me and flew off, up to a tree. Another one saved!
