I joined WW in Jan. 2009, and lost almost 80 pounds by Nov. 2009. However, I had some difficulty with my health and my job at the same time, and I reacted in an unhealthy manner. I started snacking at night, because I was not awake for weeks on end, unable to sleep due to severe anxiety. At first, I was at least making healthy choices. Those choices became more and more unhealthy as the weight came on, so although I started to get over the anxiety and depression, the weight continued to come back. I have now gained back almost 30 pounds of that lost weight back!!
Last night, I made a choice to set a goal. I chose to make the choices to lose 25 pounds in six weeks, just in time for my birthday. This morning, I found these boards, by mistake. Or was it? I saw some people discussing "walking to a destination," which is one of the things we discussed in our WW meeting on Saturday. So, in addition to my goal of losing 25 pounds in six weeks, I have decided that I am going to walk to the Boardwalk in WDW. I am going to reward myself as I do this. Since money is going to be difficult for me to come up with for a WDW vacation, I have also decided that I am going to put back $1 for every mile I walk, as I walk them. In addition, I am going to choose closer destinations, on my way to WDW. As I virtually reach each destination (I will choose sites that are somewhat inexpensive), I will visit the destinations. This way I am not rewarding myself based solely on the scale, as this can go up and down, and I am NOT rewarding with food!!
I am so glad to find these boards, as I can now be accountable to people whom I believe will support me since they are going through the same experiences. I have my mom who is doing WW with me, and my WW friends, but I need some people who are in it and available throughout the day/night.
