Hi
I recently purchased 5 Day Hoppers from Ticketmania. I am thinking about upgrading to annual passes.

How would I go about doing this and where?

What would the cost be?

Does it matter that I purchased them from Ticketmania?

I wouldn't recommend that - Disney will only credit you with however much Ticketmania paid for the tickets, which is likely quite a bit less than what you paid for them.

You are allowed to upgrade tickets purchased from ticket wholesalers but they are handled differently than tickets purchased directly from Disney. You will not get full credit for what you paid for the ticket.

Disney sells these tickets at a discounted wholesale price and the companies add in an amount for their profit before selling them to the public. Disney will only give you credit for the wholesale price that they sold the ticket to the company. They WILL NOT credit you for any profit or shipping and handling charges that those companies added onto the price.

So say you paid $250 for the ticket. You might only get a $230 credit towards the AP. Also remember to factor in that if you got PHP's, you will lose the plus admissions when you upgrade. So what you will actually pay will be governed by the amount of wholesale credit your ticket actually gets.

If you still decide you want to do it, it can only be done at a Guest Relations window at any major park or at either of the two Guest Relations offices at DTD.

Thanks GoldenOldie. I am sure glad I asked the question. I have 4PHP on each ticket. I sure dont want to lose those. I guess if we go next year, it would be a better move to buy more passes. We never know for sure whether we can or can't. Better to be safe than sorry. Thanks for your very detailed response.

You may already know this, but I'll mention it anyway. The 4 PLUS options on your hopper tickets do not expire--just like the 5 park hopper days. Even if you use all of your 5 hopper days and only two plus options, you can still tuck those passes away and use the other PLUS options on a future visit.

This may really come in handy if you decide to go the AP route for your next trip. You could purchase the Standard AP, and use your leftover PLUS options to get the occasional water park "fix".

Hi

I knew they didnt expire. My son is only 6 and really not into water parks, so I figure I would tuck them away for a later time when he would enjoy them.
