O.K., I thought I understood it but now I am confused! My situation is a little different- my DD will be 2 at the beginning of our trip. She will turn 3 towards the end of it. She is booked as a 2 year old so we definitely got a break on the theme park tickets! However, I am considering adding her to the meal plan because I know that her CS and snacks will total over $50 (I think I read the child's price was $10/day. Feel free to correct me if I am mistaken!) Does anyone have input regarding this? Is this a good idea or would I do better just paying OOP? Can I add her to the meal plan even though we have not paid for park tickets for her? TIA for all advice.

Just call and ask. Tell them that your daughter will not eat off your plate and you would like to get the meal plane for her. 2 and under are for sharing off your plate, not their own. So they will probably be glad to add her.

From what I've read here you have to be purchasing a park ticket to be eligable for the dining plan.
