Another 4/3 Deal Ticket?

Sorry if this has already been asked & answered.

I booked the 4/3 deal for dh with a 1 day base ticket. This promotion ends on the 20th of Dec. I believe & final payment on our package is due middle of Jan. Here is my question, do I need to upgrade our tickets before the promotion ends to get the 3 free days or before final payment is due?

Or can I upgrade the tickets anytime after final payment has been made(but before arriving)& still get the 3 free days?

Hope this made sense & thanks for any help!

In order to get the discount, you must book it before the deadline for booking.

The good news is that the difference between a 4-day ticket and a 7-day ticket is only $9 + tax ... so it's not like you'd be giving up a huge discount.

I just read on another thread that the bolded part is possible. That they in fact have done it with a discount fairly recently (I think it may have been done more than once too)--changed things/upgraded rooms after the promo booking period ended with all the discounts in tact. The only thing the other poster stated was within the 45 day period, all money just has to be paid right then and there (which we all pretty much know).

I'm not sure if that *should* have happened though, and I don't know if I'd wait. If you're relatively sure you want the tickets, just go ahead and do the upgrade.

Thank you! You are right, to be on the safe side I should just go ahead & get the upgrade before final payment is due. I am hoping to use my ticket to upgrade to an AP

if you don't have the cash just yet, i agree that you can probably just wait...even if you don't get the last $3 days free, you'd only be losing a couple bucks!

If you really plan on upgrading to an AP (and are 100% sure of it), there is a way to make it much better than $9. Add the no expiration option. The charge is based on the number of days, so you will really be getting a good deal. Then, of course, use the ticket once, do the upgrade and you get a major gate value credit towards your AP. This does assume everyone in your party will want an AP though, or at least non-expiration, since you all have to have the same ticket with a package.
