anolefan's mid week Trip Report

If that is your mom sitting under the awning in the 3rd picture, it looks like she is adapting to camping life quite nicely!

I'm excited for another trip report. Great pictures of the site and your set up!

Please pass me the nacho cheese flavoring.

I'm thinking Tom drove to Miami to watch his beloved 'Noles play.

Thanks for joining along. Hope to keep your interest.

Thanks.

Yes she loved her trip. She is hooked and already talking about investing in a camper. Of course any first trip to the Fort will do that.

I've had a full day.

Little League and College Football have ruled the day.

Now that my Noles have a 3 touchdown lead with 7 minutes to go I think I can continue.

I hope I didn't jinx myself.

Glad you are here. Next post up shortly.

Yippee!! popcorn::

Nice pup! That's a big one! How long is it?

Thank you. The box is 16ft and when it is open it is 26' 9".

It sleeps all 5 of us very comfortably.

I agree, a quick trip is better than no trip!! :thumbsup2

Keep is coming...

16 days and counting for the great Halloween Fort Adventure :cool1:

Lil Lisa please tell Bruce that these 2 were caught about 3 or 4 sites down from 328 with my special set up :) (sorry couldn't resist)

This guy was a struggle to hold straight arm and take a photo with my phone. I admit I'm not very strong though.

I agree, any time spent at the Fort is all worth it.

Thanks! We are really enjoying it.

Thank you for reading and for the compliment. :)

Yippee, another great TR!

I appreciate it!

Moving on to day two now.

The typical shot of Pioneer Hall. TCD I have a challenge for your cousin. Has anyone ever taken a picture from the lookout in the middle of the roof? :)

A challenge?

On behalf of my cousin Yuri, I accept!

The next time he illegally sneaks back into the country, I will bring him to the Fort and see if he can take care of this. The only problem is that I am not sure if there is access to this lookout anywhere.

Some other comments/questions on your report:

1. Nice job on snagging 1431. That is a very nice site. In fact, you probably don't know this, but Jay and Donna Howard, who most recently used to winter on site 301, first used to spend the winters on site 1431. It is one of the nicest sites at the Fort.

2. The pulled pork flatbread sandwich has only been recently added to the take out menu. How did your mom like it?

3. Did you try any fishing in the canal behind 1431? DaveInTn caught some fish in that canal when he was in the 500 loop earlier this year.

4. Congratulations to your 'Noles. It is finally clicking for them. The second half of the season should be interesting.

5. Looking forward to more of your report.
