Hi, new poster here!

Ive read the previous posts, as many as I could find, on purchasing an annual pass and couldnt find answers to my questions. I am going to Universal twice in August, staying at the Royal Pacific and the Hard Rock, and again next summer before August hopefully Harry Potter Island will be open! I think it will be a better deal to purchase the annual pass, am I correct? Does the year start on the date of first use? I noticed the power pass uses the wording, good for 1 year, whereas the other ones use, good for 365 days, so I am wondering if there is a difference there.

I am also wondering if the blackout dates posted can ever change, I am just a very nervous buyer and hate to be surprised when something unexpected happens. Thank you for any and all information you have to offer!

Remember that the Power Pass will not give you discounts on the hotels.

I understand that Ive already booked the hotels through my girlfriend, who is a Florida resident, at $149 and am happy with that rate.

Ive looked over everything I can find about these passes but just cant find answers to the posted questions, sorry if they are right under my nose

there was a thread in the forums about buying the power passes at the local mart.
i'll try to pull it up for you

on page 3 of the link i gave you, i posted another thread that is current.

it tells where people can get the pp

the first link will give you the dates of the black outs from someone that has it

The wording is used because of the blackout dates. You cannot use it for 365 days because some of those days are blacked out. It is good from the day you activate for one calendar year. So if you activate on August 1, 2008 it is good until July 31, 2009 but you cannot use it on the blackout dates.

Never been on a forum with such helpful people! You guys are awesome Thank you very much.

we all try to help when we can.

if i don't know the answer, i use the uo website to find what they list for it.

and lots of times some of the threads on page 2 or 3 have more info on what a poster is asking about. it is difficult to find what you want sometimes when you are a newbie.

we all have been there at one time or another....
