Annual Passholders - get ready for Magic Bands

Great! Thanks for the info. I guess I need to have my "ducks in a row" and be ready to book FP+ in the next few days.

You should be able to book them as soon as they give you the option to customize MBs. I just did that today and won't likely get it in the mail until next week.
 
i renewed my annual pass today and i now have the option to customize two magic bands so now ill be having to two annual passholder Magic Bands ? or one of them will not work ?
 
It's not coming up for me either. We're Florida resident annual pass holders with a MDE log in & password. I guess I'll keep checking.
 
I've got Magic bands from a stay in January, just customized some for a stay this December, but nothing yet on my AP Magic Bands, but it's coming.

Same as me. I have MagicBands from a one-day stay in November, and I can do FP+, but nothing is showing up about my AP MagicBands. I'll check daily too (not that it matters because I already have some!).

EDIT: Wait, now it's appearing... but it only says 2 bands, not 4 like our whole family has. WTH. And it's just for my kids, not my wife and I. Weird. Maybe it's because of the fact that our passes all expire at different times? Who knows.
 
I received mine a few weeks ago (part of the test I guess)...you get a little slider that says you are an passholder to put on your magic band. You also get a card for discounts at stores....
 
I'm usually not this dense, but EXACTLY where does this option appear in MDX? I've been clicking around for 30 minutes.
 
I'm delighted about this, as we are going Easter week and will really want to take advantage of advance booking for FP+.

Unfortunately, the option to customize our MB's showed up, and I customized and placed the order, but I can't book FP+? It's still saying "not eligible for MyMagic+". Glitch? Do I need to wait for the MB order to process/ship?

The same thing is happening to me. Only 1 out of 2 AP Magic Bands is showing up to be customized. Maybe it does have something to do with expiration dates.:confused3
 
We only have vouchers (successfully linked to our resort stay) but no seperate option to get magic bands for just the AP's.

Hopefully it pops up for us as I would like to collect multiple bands for my family for color variety and in case they start charging for them in the future.

I did the same thing last night and even had DH try too. I guess we haven't been "selected" yet.

Both should working interchangeably. Your AP is linked to your MDE profile and the MagicBand is just a key to reading the data stored in your profile.
 
Are vouchers working for the AP magic bands?

I have two trips planned both 10 days long under 60 days apart this summer. The last three days of both trips are going to be interesting. So I'm going to have to plan all the must do's the first 7 days and then hope for the best.

If you like a in park TS lunch break like I do, this is getting much more difficult to work in.

If they would just consider S&D "onsite" my life would be easier.
 
Both DBF and I were able to customize/ship today. I already have one from an onsite stay, but since I custom painted my first one I'll take the second one so I can do another design. :)
 
Both should working interchangeably. Your AP is linked to your MDE profile and the MagicBand is just a key to reading the data stored in your profile.

sweet, looks like i will be collecting a lot of Magic Bands and i'm also running out of colors to choose from lol.
 
For those of you who have multiple MBs now, do they all still function at the turnstiles as long as they're still linked to MDX? I ordered a different color than my first one so I can switch it up sometimes, since we go so often.

Probably a silly question, but just in case...did you click "into" one of the MB options? If not, try it.

Yesterday when I saw this, it looked like I had two MBs on the account (when there are 3 of us). But when I clicked into one it was just my husband, and clicking into the other I saw me and my son.

OH but wait, if all 4 of you expire on 4 different dates that likely doesn't make sense. DS and I have the same expiration date so we were together, and DH was a different date.

Hover over the MDE, look down to MyAccount, and click on MagicBands and Cards. That's where I saw it.

Unless you actually go into your account and deactivate the MB, it is linked to MyDisneyExperience. Therefore it will work. And ours have worked interchangeably.

Unless there's a glitch. Can't control the glitches!

They all continue to function interchangeably as long as you don't disable them in My Disney Experience.
 
Just tried to order mine. Allowed my family to customize theirs but not me. I guess I have to call Disney now?

Go to the MagicBands and Cards area. If it's not there, you don't have the option yet.

Only 2 or 4 people in my family are showing they can get the bands.
