Annual Passholders - get ready for Magic Bands

Go to the MagicBands and Cards area. If it's not there, you don't have the option yet. Only 2 or 4 people in my family are showing they can get the bands.

It's just showing my current AP card that's linked to me account.

I'm assuming there's actually a link that says select your magic band, or customize your band...
So I guess not yet.

It worked!!!
I had to use the website instead of the app and I was able to order, for me and my Mom.
Can't wait for it to come so I can do FP+.

Happy happy dance.
 
I'm usually not this dense, but EXACTLY where does this option appear in MDX? I've been clicking around for 30 minutes.

When I logged into MDE on my laptop it was on the Welcome page with a link.

Wasn't there an hour ago - I've been in and out of MDE all evening, and just checked again after reading this thread.

Of course this is just as we're leaving Florida tomorrow after being here for 4 months without advance FP's, but I'm excited for when we get back later this year!
 

Just checked my MDE account, and there is now an order for the Passholder MagicBands. As soon as you enter the mailing address and customize the bands, the button says 'Ship MagicBands Now'.

Called yesterday because MDE was allowing me to move forward with the MBs, but was stuck in a continuous loop. It was asking me to link my PAPs...I entered the # and it says they have been linked already...just keep going in a circle. I called WDW and they said unless I received an e-mail I don't qualify.:mad: I get it though...

After reading this thread I was actually able to order my MBs, but can't proceed any further...just keep getting stuck after I try and link my PAPs, which according to MDE, have already been linked.

Our first day in the park will be either March 23 or 24.

Just hoping :sad2: Might wait a day or two and see what happens :)
 
I've checked 3x today and still nothing. My passes expire at the end of April so I don't know why I'm bothering but I want the chance to at least try them darnit!! :(
 
I did mine Ap expires May 4th.
Dh hasn't had option yet Ap expires May 16th.
We each have own MDE acct. I have no idea if friend of Dh's has option or not.
 
There is the option in our account now to customize 1 band. It says Affiliation, annual pass holder. It doesn't say who it's for though. There are 6 people in our account.
 
Wait. .... I don't get it. We're AP holders and have had 2 trips with magic bands already..... am I missing something? ?
 
Ok I figured it out. The band they're letting me customize is for my 3 yr old. It's not letting me schedule FP+ at all yet though. I haven't told them to ship it yet. I figured I'd wait until it lets us all get them.

Will it let me schedule FP after I tell them to ship?
 
I can now order magic bands for my APs, but just to be safe I'm going to wait until our April trip is over since we just received MBs for that trip and I don't want them to get confused in the system :) at least I can get more colors...couldn't decide this time around.

Clear cookies, cache, history...try a different browser...and do it all tomorrow. Thursday and part of Friday have been rotten, website-wise, so it could just be because it's down.


I don't even HAVE APs at this time (they expired in Feb), but I was able to customize the bands and they say they are shipping soon. I did NOT get an email about this. I simply noticed it when trying to help someone yesterday with MDE questions.
 
So if I customize my AP MB then do I get separate bands when I book a room or do they link?
 
They must be coming online slowly. I never received an email about being able to get the MagicBands. I checked early yesterday and could customize one of them (4 in our party). By last night I could do all of them. I still can't make FP+ selections though. I'm not sure if that will change when they ship?
 
I was able to customize all of them this morning. I then told them to ship them. I still cannot make FP selections though.
 
I'm in the UK and have the option to order magic bands (we already have 1 set from our Dec on site stay) BUT they won't mail to the UK.

It wants me to provide an alternative shipping address....does Disney assume that all overseas guests will have someone to send their bands to? Why wouldn't they have a will call option?
 
I had already linked my AP to MDE and had customized my band. It now shows an MB ready to ship. Is that the one I customized or a new one?
 
I didn't get an email but I had magic bands in my account today for my AP and my DD's AP. We both have one set of magic bands from a trip in Jan and I have a set of three in my account for a trip with DD and DH coming up in August.

I chose colors for the two AP bands and requested shipment. The website says they will ship AP bands starting in mid March.

Now I will have lots of colors to choose from. I painted the first set. I'm looking forward to customizing the rest of them. :)
 
I am irritated that I can't get a MB yet. So stupid. I'm just impatient. I've tried different browsers, clicked on different areas of the website and nothing. When I click on FP+ I can see dates to choose and then I get an "We're Sorry. In order to select FastPass+ experiences, party members must have a valid ticket and be within at least one party member's FastPass+ selection window." message. All of our APs are linked.
