1-2 day trip. Maybe even flying in and out the same day. I'm back in October and February so it would definitely need to be a quick trip.

For those living out of state, what are your plans if you secure a reservation? Just a quick 1-2 day trip, or would you plan something longer? We're already planning for a 5-day on Sept 10, so we would probably just go for 1-2 days. It's only an 8 hour drive for us. The AP preview would just be icing on the cake with the opportunity to see it in a less chaotic state.
If I can secure a spot, I would fly down on credit card points and stay in an AP discounted BC/YC CL room for 2, maybe 3 nights max. Hoping I could do a Fri/Sat/Sun and capture a preview and only take 1 day off from work. I would only visit DHS and Epcot this trip. BC/YC would be important for the amazing pool and proximity to both parks. I would also pick CL so I did not have to plan any ADRs and I would not purchase any large meals.

If it doesn't work out, I have an Oct trip. I would just like to see it through the preview so crowds are smaller and traffic flow is better (I assume WDW will be worse than DL right now).

We are already down Aug 22-28, so hoping we can get a preview on the 23rd... fingers crossed.

If not we will deal, and not the end of the world.

I feel like i live on the DIS now, my boss must think i am crazy... just give me a preview already, i feel like we should get a prize for all our stalking!

I'm about 2-3 hours away by air depending on which airport I use, and usually can find reasonable prices midweek so my tentative plan would be a 1-night trip, which is what I did for the Pandora AP preview. I had a 6-8pm preview slot on a Tuesday, so I flew down that morning and arrived at my resort around 10am. Hit all four parks that day (DHS, Epcot, AK, then MK) and then left early the next morning to get in a half day at work.

We are already going to be there August 6-20th so I'm hoping it happens then. If we weren't already there, I wouldn't book just for the preview.

I’m hoping for a drop either today or July 3(no idea why, but it’s fun to speculate!)

I’ll be already on a trip if previews start the 11th. They have to give registration rather than simply ‘walk into the park and get handed a wristband’ it just wouldn’t work.

We have a 6 day trip planned for September, but would love to get a preview. We are about a 3 hour flight away, so we need a little time to plan ahead. Not sure if we would just fly down for a couple of days or reschedule and make it a week trip. Leaning towards not doing the latter since we haven’t booked any fast passes for anything. Luckily we are able to fly SW and we can change our flights.

Coming from Buffalo, NY - already booked a room for a quick 3 night trip 8/15-8/18 (only weekend we can go if there are previews) and have flights booked with SW that I can change to future trips if it doesn't happen. We are in the same boat and will be back to Disney 9/9 so just a quick trip but will most likely only go if we get a preview

Cloe - we're neighbors!!!

We had a December trip planned that we just had to reschedule anyway, so I managed to piece together a DVC stay from 8/24-8/31 to replace that and hoping we will get a preview. Depending on when previews are released, I can add more days to the beginning of the trip and if we don't get a preview, I guess I'll be there the 29th!

Quick 2-3 park day trip. Since we have AP and its summer, we are flexible. I live in N.C. and we can drive down in one full day. But with little kids we break it up usually.

This would be last minute and in addition to a planned Oct trip.

We just got back yesterday, have a quick trip next month & a regular one in October to officially see GE. Because of all that, we’d just pop down for 2 nights & hope for an AP discount. We live about 6 1/2 hours away.

I guess it depends on when the preview will happen. If it is on a weekend, the I can see myself going for 4-5 days. If it is a middle of the week event, then 2-3 days. A lot of my plan will depend on (beyond getting into the preview) what flights will be available on such short notice.

We are 7 hours away. Waiting for previews and Fall discounts to decide next trip. If we can get a preview during a weekend, we’ll fly down just for a couple of days to see SWGE. Depending on discounts, we would book another weekend trip in the Fall.

Is anyone else concerned that a lot of APs will register for the preview, but not attend the event? I'd really hate to miss out due to someone else reserving a spot and not using it.

Very much so.
People without reservations. That intend to go, but ultimately can't make it work.
Dare I say you need a reservation. Then open up to people without reservations?

Sadly that will definitely happen. People will register and then won't be able to get time off work or won't be able to find flights or accommodations at "reasonable price" so they won't show up but still take a spot.
