For those living out of state, what are your plans if you secure a reservation? Just a quick 1-2 day trip, or would you plan something longer? We're already planning for a 5-day on Sept 10, so we would probably just go for 1-2 days. It's only an 8 hour drive for us. The AP preview would just be icing on the cake with the opportunity to see it in a less chaotic state.

We are currently booked to be at WDW from Aug 6th - 13th ... so really hoping the previews would start the 11th. We could probably extend our stay a few days, but if they are only starting like the 20th or something, we will just be out of luck and not able to do them

Ours would be a quick 1-2 days. We generally have decent low flight options, we are about a 13 hour drive. Ideally we would stay on property but could use points at an off-site hotel if really necessary. We have a 5 day trip planned around opening day but if we got the preview, we would cancel that longer trip and avoid the masses.

I currently have two reservations booked in DVC villas. One is 7 nights, the other is six. Hoping they announce something prior to 30 days out so I can cancel one or the other. I was also able to book $49 flights to Orlando through Southwest so I'm not out anything for those since I can reschedule flights if needed. I'll be coming from CO.

well, the annual News and Rumors threads get over 1,000 pages each year (the current one is on page 585) - but that isn't a typical thread that is focused on just one topic

I still remember fondly back in the past when people wondered if this thread would get to 100 pages before the registration started ... oh, how naive we were

Totally depends on when it is.
We are due to fly in on the 27th. If they have something close to that, like around the 24th, we'll make our trip earlier.
If it's earlier in the month, we'll just figure it out then. Too many variables to make a guess right now

Oh, way, way, way longer than this. Realize how old The Dis is? Some threads have gone on for years.

Coming from Buffalo, NY - already booked a room for a quick 3 night trip 8/15-8/18 (only weekend we can go if there are previews) and have flights booked with SW that I can change to future trips if it doesn't happen. We are in the same boat and will be back to Disney 9/9 so just a quick trip but will most likely only go if we get a preview
I’ll be there the exact same dates!

The only snag is that I’m flying on Delta, so I’m locked in to these dates. That said, I booked this trip before they announced the previews, so I was under the impression I was getting a “calm before the storm (troopers)” trip in at the time.

Great question! Our trip is currently scheduled for 8/29-9/4 (scheduled before GE opening was announced). We decided to stay the course after it was announced. However, we will probably just move it all together to take part in the previews...if (and it's a big IF) the dates work out to be before the kids start back to school. They're already missing 4 days, but I feel a little less bad about it since it is around Labor Day weekend.

But, now that I have FPs and our ability to move our SWA departure at no additional cost has expired, we'll have to do some math to see if it makes sense to move it once the dates are announced (assuming we even get a spot).

We're a 10 hour drive from northeast MS. If we are able to do it, it would be a quick down and back. We have a week long trip planned in October. Although, being as how we decided literally yesterday to take advantage of our 4 day weekend and drive down for 4th of July... we may end up skipping the preview unless it just fits perfectly into our calendar.

Not even close. Go visit the budget board, our most popular threads are all long. One that started in jan is wells over 1k in pages. We talk a lot and have fun over there :D

I live 8 hours away and will most likely drive down for 1-2 nights max. We just returned from a week long trip so I don't have the PTO or money for another long trip.

Coming from Ohio, would be able to extend my trip a day or 2 depending on preview dates.

And woo to Buffalo, born and raised there. Great place to be in the summer for sure.

We already have reservations to be onsite from the 4th to the 17th and we're driving (2 day drive). So theoretically we could finagle a bit with the dates if we needed to do so.

I have a trip ending the 15th. I can extend it as late as the 18th and just modify my flight with Southwest. Though I'd love if it fit within my existing days.

I have a trip booked from August 25th to September 6th. I'm driving down from Montreal, Quebec. I could manage to get there on the 24th. But I'm really hoping for "late" previews.

Hi
Does anyone know when CM previews will be for WDW Galaxy Edge and how to be a part of it? Do you need to register, etc.?
Our son is a cm. Don't know their dates yet. They let them know when it's open for a request and they put in an "application" . They usually get to bring 2 people but they were just informed they can only invite 1 for SWGE...

We already have a trip scheduled from August 16-23. We’re in Florida on the 14th, though, so we might be able to rearrange our earlier plans. But there’s not much wiggle room otherwise for me when it comes to work, so if the preview is before the 14th, I’ll just congratulate those here who get to go.
