Annual Passholder Previews REGISTRATION LINK IN FIRST POST-EVENT FULLY BOOKED

So what exactly am I supposed to be getting if I do happen, by some miracle, to get a slot for AP Preview?

Do we just get to ride the Millennium Falcon? Or is there more(such as go to the Cantina, build a lightsaber, adopt a Loth-cat, etc.)?

I just want to know what to expect if I’m going to be spending the next week or so glued to this page! I know some of the land might be closed(like it said for the registration email for Pandora) but my first inclination was to simply be immersed in the land and you get to ride the ride. Is there more? I’m not expecting opening day merchandise, but I’m hoping at least to build a lightsaber.
nothing has been announced yet but I EXPECT full access to the land with maybe only one ride on MFSR
Will each person in our family have to reserve a spot or can 1 person do it for everyone? We all have AP's. Trying to get my ducks in a row before they actually open booking!
For past events one passholder would be able to sign up for all thr AP in their MDE planning family
Silly question here. I've never had an AP before so no experience with how it works. I will have AP vouchers linked to my MDE.
If I am lucky enough to get a slot and they scan my band will that automatically activate my AP voucher with that date?

Thanks!
To enter DHS you would need to activate your AP beforehand
I would guess (obviously) that a LARGE percentage of Platinum and higher AP holders simply cant make an August preview. Not everyone who has those passes live within driving distance, have the time off work, have other plans, kids are back in school, have the money to make a last minute flight/trip, etc. etc. etc.

I would gather the vast number of passholders are Gold and below? (Simply a guess) Simply because of the cost difference (and the fact DVC members can get those lower passes as well)

Was the Pandora previews limited to Platinum and UP passholders?

I, for example, live 9 hours a way .. It would take minimum 3 days for me to drive down, do the preview and drive back. Close enough to be tempting, but far enough that I realistically may not be able to depending on the dates available.
Pandora previews were for all AP. This is the first time that a select group of AP has been given this opportunity. I can guarantee you that there will be AP left out due to capacity of the preview

Pandora AP Preview was for any AP - but they also didn’t raise the AP cost around that time either. SWGE is a whole different animal!

I know everyone has a lot of questions on this, just a recap on the only thing we do know:
Disney announced that they will have AP platinum, platinum plus and premier previews for SWGE before it opens on Aug 29th...that's it, we have no other details. I am scanning the ap site and DPB every day, multiple times a day. I am sure that once the registration opens either myself, or Ryan or any of you will come here and post.
For Pandora all you needed was your MDE up to date with your ticket info. You could go on the registration link, click, add the aps in your family that are linked to your MDE, pick a day and time and that was it.
For this one we don't know yet how registration will work.
For Pandora the site went wonky a couple of times so be patient and persistent, if possible have multiple devices ready to go

Packagrs came out today too s it could have been timed with that and the parking going up. I think it's more coincidence than conspiracy.

I was just stating that things are “different” now! I don’t think there’s any argument there! ;)

I just to apologize in advance for ignoring every other thread I am subscribed to. :rotfl2:

I guess we are lucky. We both got Platinum APs last October since we were visiting for F&W and MVMCP last year. Then during our October trip we bought into DVC. I hope they open up these previews for a week or two heading into the opening week. We can swing coming a couple extra days early but no way can I rationalize making an impromptu trip for the preview if it doesn't coincide with our planned trip.

Have a trip planned just before SWGE officially opens. It would be great if they did something like the Toy Story preview.

Something not to be missed here, you had to click through a specific link to reach the registration. If memory serves they even used the waiting room feature

I dont think that at all. A well oiled business machine does NOTHING out of coincidence.

FWIW Walt Disney World is saying NO previews for GOLD and under DVC members. Just had a chat with them on twitter

I still find it hard to believe they do nothing at all for DVC members.

We booked our 2019 WDW vacation long before the SWGE opening date was announced (we arrive 9th Aug, and fly home on 28th Aug - oops!) so I'm really hoping to be able to get into one of the preview dates. All three of us have Platinum AP vouchers attached to our MDE accounts (which I used to make our FastPass bookings 60 days out) and our APs will be activated at the MK on 10th August. I'm hoping that having the vouchers linked will be sufficient for me to attempt to reserve one of the preview dates - did the Pandora previews work for people with APs that were only in voucher form on the booking date?

Did they happen to say when they were going to open a registration link? 😂😂

They'd just about have to. Gold is Gold if you think about it. If they did a preview for them but excluded the regular Gold from the AP events there would be heck to pay

But, if there is an event for DVC members without it mattering if you are an AP then I can't see that they'd exclude Gold DVC then

For Pandora and Toy Story Land previews, were you allowed only one time slot? How long was your time slot?

I didn’t do toy story, as I went to it prior to the previews, which was after the land opened. For pandora, they had 3 hour blocks. IIRC, they allowed to to go in one hour before your slot

Poorly worded on my part. My bad.

Was trying to say for DVC members in general regardless if they are AP or not.
