Annual passholder discount at Disney of 10 to 20% through Sept 30!

Just curious, does anyone have a list of places that'll take this AP discount?

I found the regular AP discount list:
DOWNTOWN DISNEY:

Arribas Brothers: 10% off of merchandise for the passholder only. The following are excluded: Giuseppe Armani Line, Crystal World, Lladro, Nao by Lladro, Swarovski, The Arribas Collection, Waterford and other select merchandise. Quantities may be restricted.
Basin: 10% off select regular priced merchandise
Curl by Sammy Duvall: 10% discount off select regularly priced merchandise.
Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop: 10% off all retail items and soda fountain purchases
House of Blues: 10% off regular priced merchandise. (Some restrictions apply)
LEGO Imagination Center: 10% off all items. Cannot be combined with any other coupon or discount
Planet Hollywood: 10% off regular priced merchandise.
Rainforest Cafe: Animal Kingdom and Downtown Disney locations: 15% discount on regular priced merchandise in their retail store
Starabilias: 10% off gift and novelty items.
T-Rex Cafe: 15% discount off select non-sale merchandise in the Dino-Store (does not include "Build-A-Dino" by Build-A-Bear Workshop).
World of Disney: 10% off of merchandise for the passholder only. The following are excluded: gift certificates, Disney Dollars, food items, videos/DVD’s, film developing, Walt Disney Classics Collections and other select merchandise as well as the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique
Animal Kingdom Park:

Yak & Yeti Retail Village: 15% discount on regular priced merchandise

But I haven't seen the other list that covers this new benefit. Anyone has a list?
Thanks so much!

This is great! I thought taxes are 6.5%? Tiger :)

It depends. The taxes are higher in Osceola County than in Orange County. Part of the Ready Creek district (WDW) overlaps into Osceola County. Items purchased there will be a bit higher as a result. The Osceola County sales tax rate was 7.0% in 5/09 whereas the Orange County rate is 6.5%.

See post #117 in this thread. I copied and pasted the info from Disney's AP site earlier.

Thanks Inkmahm,
But the list I see tells you the exclusions mostly. The only line that I'm curious about is:
"Offer is valid only at the Walt Disney World® Resort, offer is valid only at select Walt Disney World Resort stores"

Does that mean ALL stores except for the listed few on the exclusions list?
So ALL disney hotel/resorts stores counts?

That I knew, but I didn't think they had gone up to 7.5% as previous poster mentioned.

Thanks for the info, Tiger :)

Yes, all except the stores that are specifically excluded on the list.

When we were at WDW in early March, we used the AP discount at some of the stores on Main Street in the Magic Kingdom in addition to Disney stores at DTD.

Thanks Inkmahm and DenLo!
Can't wait to go and SHOP!!! :lmao:

To all: thanks for the updated information. We'll be there soon and this will come in handy.

they even took it at the flower and garden kiosks I was plesantly suprised. We had pap so got the 20% off. I have to say now that I am home and the Disney fog has left my brain I bought a lot of stuff only due to the 20% off ...in hindsight that was pretty silly.....I went a little crazy with the shopping.

that's why this is such a smart promotion on Disney's part- I think we ALL spend more when we believe we are getting a great deal!

:lmao: :lmao:

in the updated post #117 most of the stores at DTD are listed as not giving the discount, but in post #122 some of those stores are listed as giving the discount, thus my confusion :rotfl::rotfl:

just curious, is the "regular AP" discount good at the DTD stores?? :confused3

When I was at WDW the week after Easter - almost every time that we ordered a CS meal (we were not on a plan by the way) the receipt gave us a coupon to be used in certain stores in the parks (not DTD) from 9:00 am to 12:00 p.m for 20% off our purchases. I think three days that we ordered lunches, we got the coupon and one day when I just bought a bottled water in a CS place - I got one. I don't know if that was just a one time promotion during the busy Easter holiday - but I certainly bought more than I usually would because of it.

117 lists the stores that are NOT covered by the special 10% a/p discount that runs through 9/30. there is normally a discount for a/p holders that runs all year at some stores. I'm guessing that's where the list in 122 came from.

Disney is anything but clear as to where discounts are given or not. And in my experience sometimes they are given when they aren't supposed to be. I always pay by saying "I have AAA, Disney VISA, DVC membership, an AP, etc.- what kind of discount can I get?" and then let the CM tell me which discount is highest.

I'm sorry I haven't read all of the other pages in this thread so my ques. might have been answered. Is there a min. amount that you have to spend to get the AP discount like $50?? or is it on any purchase of any amount???

I don't think there is a minimum. In Dec I was able to get the discount on anything sold in the resort store... even if it was a small $4 purchase.

Guess I'll take that approach as well Inkmahm :goodvibes
Maybe by the end of our trip, I'll have if figured out :lmao:

We're at WDW now. Yesterday in the shop at Splash Mountain, the two CM there knew nothing at all about the AP discount being extended to September. :confused3 Disney does a horrible job of keeping the CM on the same page.

I bought some crystal at the glass shop on MK mainstreet and the discount wasn't available there. Itwas Arribas Brothers crystal goblets so I'm pretty sure they weren't supposed to be covered by the AP discount but I asked anyway.
