Annual passholder discount at Disney of 10 to 20% through Sept 30!

here now and we had no problems getting 20% off with ds pap he just had to show picture id...spent too much money though lol

only 10% for me. needless to say, I didn't buy anything except a picture frame, but did go to the outlets twice and spent a ton on money there. $6.99 for grumpy t-shirts is still better than the prices here in the parks. Lots of stuff for my grand daughters too at the outlet.

Only 10% for me too. I really haven't bought that much & I've only had the AP since Friday. I bought something today at the gift shop at Epcot International Gateway & the CM said 10% off.

We were at WDW 2/28 - 3/9 and used the 20% discount on March 1st. I was told that was the last day for the discount and didn't think to ask after that. Thanks to this thread I picked up a sweet, brown Mickey Dooney and Burke bag with that 20% discount.

BTW, I checked several receipts that listed our Non-premium AP discount as 10% for the dates after March 1st.

I found that you had to state you had the pap andwanted the 20% off. all cm's we dealt with were familiar with it but one. One tried to only give us the 10% so I asked her if she would mind asking another cm and she game back and gave us the 20%

Ok, today I was at WOD and only received 10%. So I stopped at the x-mas shop and asked what they were doing? They said still giving 20%. Stopped at Art of Disney, same thing. Ok now I am ticked!!! I use to work for the Disney Store, and what really drove me crazy was not having everyone on the same page. So my next stop was Guest Relations. I wanted to know the official word. So the CM check with a retail manager at Team Disney. At 7:55AM all retail managers were notified that the annual pass discount would be extended till May 1. 10% for regular annual passes, and 20% for Premium annual passes. Hey it was a nice run while it lasted. I am basically done shopping, but if something rocks my world, 10% is better nothing. ;)

Thanks for the clarification! :thumbsup2 I agree with you. The 20% was nice while it lasted and 10% is better than nothing if there is something I really want! :cheer2:

We were at WDW 3/18-3/24. Most often I got the 10% discount when making a purchase. Sometimes, I got the 20% discount. There didn't seem to be any reason why I got 20% in some stores. At one, I was told the discount would be 20% normally but because it was a cd I was buying, I'd only get 10%. :confused3

We got home tonight and I found an email from Disney re my AP which finally offiically says there is a 10% discount through May 2. It's about time! Glad I new about it BEFORE my trip instead of after though.

You shouldn't have received any discount on a CD as they are exempt from discounts, as our books and DVDs. Count yourself lucky.

We were there 13-19 and had no problems with the 10% discount - every CM knew of it as we started the transaction with, "We are Annual Passholders."

As per exclusions, we didn't receive it at:

Barber Shop, Snack/food carts and purchase of a DVD.

We did receive it at Main Street Confectionary though on fudge and pretzels, even though it was food. CM said the store was classified as merchandise and they were authorized to give the discount.

We didn't receive the email, so that's good they've alerted people, but as usual with Disney, it's too late for some who have already travelled there. Many people didn't know about it, nor was it posted anywhere, so again, Disney has dropped the ball in terms of alerting guests to this promo. Thank goodness for the DIS! I swear, Disney is using the DISboards for free marketing...I'm serious.

Tiger :)

*bump* as the discount is still valid through May 2!

Thanks! Hoping this keeps up through July. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the tip! I learned a new trick. :cool1:

We just returned home today.

Some places we were getting 20% off then at SSR we only got 10% off and DH asked why it was not 20% and was told that if we got 20% off someone was not doing their job correctly. Since 20% off is for Premium Annual Passholders. Not sure why we got it since we do not have an Premium Annual Pass!!

YYay-now I've got a good excuse to spend lots of money on our trip next week ("Just think of what I SAVED, dear!") Does anyone know specifically what World Showcase shops give what % off, if any? I'm most interested in the Twinings shop. What about in AK, especially the store in Africa by the KS? And are any collectible items in the Art of Disney stores not elligible? It would probably be best if there's no discount on collectibles. Otherwise I'll really spend money! Boy, the planning just ramped into high gear!

Sept 30th! This is great! Thanks for the update Inky :goodvibes

20% would be preferable though, the 10% just covers those 7.5% taxes.
