Hi guys...you might all know the answer to this and since my AP is at home, tucked away, I can't look it up!

Do you know if there is a contact/questions phone number for Annual Passholders? I'm hoping to find out how much it would cost me to upgrade my AP when I get there at the end of the month to a PAP. My fiance has a PAP and I have the opportunity to purchase discounted water park and pleasure island tickets before our trip, but I'd rather find out if I can just upgrade my pass for a reasonable amount. If I can't find out until I get there, no biggie :)

Thanks in advance for any information!

sarah

The phone number on my annual pass is 1-407-560-pass(7277).

I think what they'll tell you about upgrading an AP to a PAP is this:

The price will be the DIFFERENCE between what you actually paid for your AP (probably around $390 - right?) and the CURRENT price of the PAP ($531.86). So, about $142 to convert your AP to a PAP.

The active dates of your pass will not change- it will still expire on the existing expiration date.

Does that work out to a good deal in your situation?

(Upgrading Park Hoppers is different. On those, they credit the actual unused days toward the new ticket. But on annual passes, there is no proration based on the time remaining on the pass.)

KathyTX is correct. They will now charge you the entire price difference between the two no matter how much time remains on your AP.

Ooooh, thanks guys! I was thinking that they would pro-rate what was actually left on the passes. In fact, I called this morning and the CM told me that he thought they would just charge me the difference, divided by 12, multiplied by the amount left on my pass (I was thinking, dude, I know the definition of pro-rate, lol)

Then it would definitely be cheaper for me to order the discount tickets in advance...I'm sure we won't be spending $142 worth of time at a water park or Pleasure Island!!

Thanks again!! :)

That is what they used to do when doing AP upgrades. They changed the policy around two years ago.

By the way, unless you have been transferred to a Guest Relations representative, never take the word of a CM on the phone about upgrading the pass. They do not deal with it and have no first hand knowledge of how it is done. Most times they just guess or tell you what they have heard. :(

Tyler says to only trust transportation info to the folks in the purple pants. I'll stress to you to only trust info about upgrading tickets that comes from Guest Relations folks. The 407-560-PASS number is answered by CRO. Nuff said.
