Annual Passes

Does anyone have annual passes? We always stay at the Fort and growing up would go once a year. Now that I've started my own family, we tend to go twice a year. I'm considering buying annual passes. We have reservations for Spring Break and I've already paid $1200 for park hopper tickets for that trip. I figure I can come up with roughly $800 more and buy annual passes. We are planning a trip for June also. The way I figure, the annual passes will be "paid for" by just going those 2 trips. Anything else will be bonus. Am I missing something? We have them but we are also live about 45 minutes away so for us we go to Disney a couple of times a month

I was considering the same thing. We are planning on staying for 14 days at FW next Jan, and then moving to a less expensive RV Resort and stay another month. If we do PH they will expire 14 days after initial use correct? Would AP be beneficial in any other manner you all can think of besides the length of time we will be there, and the free parking? I honestly am not concerned with park time too much. I am so into the Fort, and the resorts, and just being there. I fully plan on going of course, but the price dif is pretty much doubled in comparison.

We purchased Annual Passes through AAA South last summer. 2 adults and 2 kids totaled just under $2600 with the AAA discount. We had to travel to Orlando in December for a short trip, so we decided to make this our Disney year. We will have used about 35 park days (5 trips of various lengths) when our passes expire in June. They are good for 365 days from the date you activate them. (We activated ours in Downtown Disney.) That comes to less than $19 per day per person for us, so it was definitely a worthwhile purchase. We also felt free to relax a little when we visited the parks, knowing we weren't giving up a park ticket day when we just went for a few hours to a park. The freedom to park hop is nice, too.
We also took advantage of the Tables in Wonderland card offer instead of doing Disney Dining plan. Since we really only eat out for one meal a day and prefer table service over counter service, this has turned out to be a good decision.
Our first trip last summer, we stayed off-property, so having the AP free parking also saved a good deal.
The times we have stayed on-property at resorts, we were able to get AP room only discounts. Even though there is no discount for our upcoming Spring Break stay at the Fort, our other savings have made the AP purchase worthwhile for us.
You just have to compare the numbers and see what works for your plans.

We just purchased them on Monday, actually. We already have 3 nights in April, 7 in August, and 2 in November booked. H said we'll try to squeeze in one more trip so we'll use them 4 times. We live in NJ and plan to drive our RV for those trips. If we get in one more trip we'll probably fly (most likely in December for DD's 10th bday). If we fly we hope to use the AP discount on a hotel room. I am bummed that there's not at least a small discount on sites at the Fort offered with the APs.

We just purchased AP's three weeks ago. We're at the Fort now for two weeks and will make at least one more trip - they're worth it for us as we go in the parks every day and like the hoppers feature.

I also would like to see some more perks at the fort for AP holders. Also we have family coming down in March and they were wondering if anyone knows if you can make payments on them before they arrive and have it paid off before Mar. They also are coming down in Oct. Just wondering

I had to pay for them in full when I called in. They couldn't be added to my package like regular tickets.
