Annual passes increasing 6/2/13

DVC Annual pass discount will be 464 instead of 425 (without tax) tomorrow. Just got off the phone with Member Services, and bought our Vouchers. First time buyers of AP, we are very excited! :wave2:pixiedust:

I just called to get them also instead of waiting till we get down there in 2 weeks. Dvc ms wouldn't tell me if they were increasing. I have to say she was the first rude ms rep I spoke with in a very long time.

I renewed my AP last week, using the DVC discount...just a regular AP...total cost was $410 and some change...the charge is already on my credit card statement so I'm certain of it...

It was a renewal/DVC discount rate, and the total included tax...I will pick up my new AP at will call at any Guest Relations booth next time I go to WDW (later this month)...

So...the $425 amount referred to above was not what I paid...don't know what the new prices will be...

The $425 amount is for a new DVC AP until the end of today. Starting 6/2, a new DVC AP will be $464. These prices do not include sales tax (6.5%).

Is there any DVC discount on DLR annual passes or on Premiers?

This is a difficult decision. I'm a DLR AP and live in CA, but will attend the pin trading event in WDW in September. My current pass is good until October, so theoretically I could just add on a multi-day WDW ticket to cover my time in FL.

But if I bought a Premier today and didn't activate it until September, it's about the same price, plus it gives me time to visit WDW again next year on the same pass. It just means more cash outlay TODAY.

Am I missing any other options?

I just called MS and was told as of tomorrow a new AP will be $464.00 total including tax. Up $12.00 from today's prices. I was also told that MS computer is not showing the No Expire option on the new prices for park tickets. He checked twice. I also got a price of $546 and change for an 8 day park pass w no expire at current prices, but couldn't compare it to new price due to the no expire option not showing on the CM's computer screen?? is the no expire option being discontinued? I then got off the phone with MS, and ordered the 8 day no expire from UCT for $527. This is for my husband and it won't be used until November at the earliest, possibly February.

I'm going to wait to renew my AP, which expires on 12/8/13. I know I have a 30 day window to get a renewal AP, that's 30 days from when it expires, right? So I can renew up to 1/8/14. Sounds silly, but I really don't know and forgot to ask. Also CM didn't have new renewal prices. Can anyone fill in any of these blanks?

Appreciated

Diane

Sadly, you are not able to buy the Premier Pass early or as a voucher. You can only purchase them on site at a Disney Park and they are active immediately. They went up $130 from last year -- ouch! Almost a thousand dollars now.

Can you renew early and get a voucher, or do you need to be within the 30-day time frame? Our AP's expire in December and would like to save some $$!

I just found out this info within the last half hour. MS closed at 5:30 so I was unab le to renew my AP which I actaully had planned on doing tomorrow. Guess I'll have to wait to find out how much more I'll have to pay.

Is that right?
If it's after tax then $12 isn't too big of an increase.
Makes me love my DVC more :)

Can we buy AP with our DVC discount online since MS has already closed?

yes. If you don't see the link on the dvc page, go to the regular disney page, login using your DVC user name and password and go to the tickets section. The DVC prices will come up. I just bought 2 APs this way about 5 minutes ago.

I sure hope we see a repeat of those DVC Premium Annual Passes for $399 because otherwise, I think I may have to venture to the Dark Side (Universal) when ours expire on 10/21/2013.

I called MS and bought our AP's today. I didn't know the new $464. price included taxes, so I didn't save as much as I thought, I guess. Still, every penny saved is another penny I have to spend in WDW!
