My husband and I upgraded to APs last month when we were at WDW. (We ticket-bridged, btw, with discount tickets. The cast members at EPCOT were great about it.) We'll be going again for a couple of days in January and I know the FP window is opening soon, since we have hotel reservations at POP. However, it's only showing the 30 day window we would get as AP holders. MDE clearly shows our hotel reservation linked to the account, and wouldn't let me re-link it.

Anybody else have this happen?

When you hit your 60 day mark, it'll open up online (at 7am that morning). :thumbsup2

Are your trips within 2 months of each other? We check in 11/17 and also 1/11. I was able to make FP a day early for the January trip.

ETA: But no, the window was not open for me until then.

I like to hear about what places are good for ticket bridging. I was going to do the TTC because that's just where I'm going to end up being the first day I go, but maybe I'll hop the monorail to EPCOT instead.

Having been intimately involved in following(and helping with) ticket upgrade situations -good and less so- for well over a decade...
I can tell you that there are no "best" or "worse" locations that will be consistent.

The CM you get is the key, and they can change all the time.

I've heard it's good to use it first and get it active, and then upgrade. That's what we did. Although the cast member did say "Oh, this is a discount ticket" when he upgraded us, they don't do anything about that. Do the math beforehand so you know what to expect and don't get into an awkward situation. When he gave us our total it exactly matched what I expected and we were good to go.

1. Sorry, but that's not a "thing" to make the upgrade happen "better."
It certainly CAN be done, but it won't help or hurt your upgrade.

2. But, THAT can be a key
to getting the right amount paid for the transaction.

You've told me this before, and I always hope that maybe someday it'll just come down to the location, lol.

Yes, I even plan to have it all worked out on paper so I can show the CM what I expect it to cost if it doesn't come out correctly. I figure if it comes down to them overcharging me, it can't get any worse by showing them my math.

Consider how many different CMs will be "at" a certain location on any given month, or week, or day, or time of day.

Turnover/changeover in jobs, change in management, new-hires, substitutions for sick days and vacations, extended staffing for
longer days, adding number of open windows, fewer and greater number of counter staff on various days as demand changes.

Its something that cannot be predicted or assumed from previous reports.

Some of the very BEST reports have been followed by some of the most Horrific reports... from the very same ticket upgrade locations.
