Annual passes and Fast pass +, please clarify

I am considering APs this year but it looks like we will only get 7 days of fast passes out of every 30 days, so for a 2-week vacation we would have NO fast passes for 7 days? I just want to make sure that's how it works.

If you are onsite, you'll book FPs for length of stay.

But I never stay onsite.

Then it will be the 7 day total of FPs. As you use a day, you'll be able to book for another day of your trip.

Or, you can buy 10-day tickets. Link them and book FPs for 10 days total.

On your 7th day of park visits, upgrade to your AP and then book for the final 4 days of your trip.

Not to mention the added bonus of being able to visit the parks again any of the remaining 355 days of the year!

And the other benefit of popping in to AK or HS, staying for 2 hours, and leaving without guilt for "wasting" a ticket day. This way we can do theme parks in the morning and water parks in the afternoon.

We have linked but not yet activated DVC Gold APs.

I am confused about what I'll be able to book. Will I be able to book FP+ 60 days in advance for each and every day from 6/27-7/10? If I only get 7 days. I will cancel,the 6/27-6/29 ressie and go to Universal those days!

You'll be able to book for all of those dates because you are staying onsite. The system will recognize that you will be there and the onsite reservation "overrides" the 7 day limit on your AP.
